I doubt it, it's been out for awhile now and I'm betting Sony is putting most of it's effort into the new PS3. But on the good news isn't the new system suppose to be region free? If that's the case if you get a new PS3 you'll be able to play all Japanese games and I'm sure somebody will have a translation book or site.

No plan to bring them over. They have huge amounts of dialogue and voice, which would be a huge pain to translate and dub for what would probably not amount to much sales. I wouldn't want to play one with dubbed voices anyway.

thats a shame.. I hear its a fairly deep to play...
Thats cool Chen, although I would really consider it... I don't know if I would have the patience to play.. unless it had a story like sf2 (but I doubt that).
ataru.. I agree with you... don't want the any crazy dubs.. just english in the writing.

Isn't there sites where you can download a patch or something? I know there are sites that translate the menu pages for you and for me that's the main thing i doubt the storyline will be too complicated if your familiar with the characters in the game.

CHEN: About 2-3 years ago, I remember downloading SRW roms for SNES and/or GBA, then using Emulators for the PC to run them. On the SRW games, I specifically remember downloading a patch to convert the game into English.

Why YES I am serious ;D The problem is this was some time ago and I migrated to a newer PC already. But I was definitely playing the SRW game. Take note that this was not the PS2 version but a GBA or SNES version. Search for SRW roms, SRW English patch and PC emulators.

Guys I found 5 floppy disks today. Disk 1 : SNES Tool (PC Emulator) Disk 2 : SRW4 Eng Patched 1 of 2 Disk 3 : SRW4 Eng Patched 2 of 2 Disk 4 : SRW3 + Eng Patch Disk 5 : SRW3 Guide Here's the problem . My current PC does NOT have a floppy drive. So the earliest I can verify these contents is on Tuesday after President's Day at my office workstation. Can somebody host the files when I get them? How? Oh, and thanks to Kidchuckle for the link to these great videos ;D

Kidchuckle, I think you can try romnation for these roms. I remembered getting the SNES SRW 3 rom and the patch from this site. I didn't finish playing the game, though, because it was too hard keeping all your units alive through a battle... You see, when I play a turn based strategy, I try to keep all my units alive... Currently I'm playing SRW Alpha 3 for the PS2 blindly, just by using the command FAQs you can find at gamefaqs. After a while, you became familiar with the command location... I did find a translation for Kusuha's path. If you want, I can send it to you. Just tell me where to mail it to...

I'll give it a shot and try romnation. Oooh would almost try that... but I really like playing those strategy games with story.
You know I found this one website that you can put games onto a gba cartridge. I wonder if anyone has put a SRW with a patch on their GBA games with it.

Is there an SRW game for the GBA that has been patched? I remembered I found a patch for a Gundam Seed strategy game, but I did not search for the actual ROM back then. But I do have a rom for pokemon fire red that had been patched...heh...heh! It's too bad that Banpresto won't translate their SRW games. Just translate the text, no need to change voice overs, that way, it will feel like watching anime with subtitles!!
