Ive really started to find myself interested in mechs/robots recently (thatnks in large part to some artwork passed my way) but im only interested in the robots that were piloted by human / cyborg/alien pilots or drivers.
Can someone help me out and point me in the right direction of ANY robot lines that came with poseable pilots (ala Diaclone pilot figures with 4 points of articulation)?
Much appreciated (very) in advance!

I think there is not a toy line. Sometimes a line make a robot including the pilot like the last Mazinger with Koji. I think it's a big error becouse pilots are loved such asthe robot they pilot!

Can someone help me out and point me in the right direction of ANY robot lines that came with poseable pilots (ala Diaclone pilot figures with 4 points of articulation)? Much appreciated (very) in advance! Likewise, I'm a real sucker for anything that has pilots! The best mecha line with poseable pilots in my opinion right now is Takara's Microman DMZ Votoms line. I'm a little biased though as that and Revoltech are my favourites. www.takaratomy.co.jp/products/microman/mas_vot_top01.htmlIf you're not aware of Votoms, imagine the mechs as fairly low-tech ( by mecha standards ) but highly mobile walking tanks. They're the A-10 Thunderbolt of the mech world. In 1/18 scale, the pilots are ever so slightly taller than a standard Star Wars figure but are far, far more poseable. Although pricey, the large mechs are in my view worth the money and the pilot plus accessories ( hands, gun, helmet etc. ) comes packaged with it in the same box. It is possible to buy slightly different versions of the "Microman" pilot figures separately ( there are three versions of the central character from the series ). I took delivery today of Merowlink and his bike and sidecar and I'm delighted with him. Lots of accessories. Takara also do a neat line of 1:48 figures which also featured the mechs from the series. The line is known as Actic Gear. Although they are only the size of a Star Wars figure, they do feature a tiny, but alas non-poseable pilot. Lots of fun though. Sticking with Votoms, Yamato does a 1/12 version of the Scopedog and others from the series. I own this too but it's more toylike for my money and you do need to buy the pilot figure separately. Admittedly he's better quality but just not as much fun as Takara's efforts. Yamato have only done the central character Chirico Cuvie so far. Hope this helps!

The only thing on my mind right Now is that Mazinger-Z vinyl figure with the Koji pilot, made by West Kenji... ...but the Koji Figurine is non-poseable. Still, it's better than most other robot Figure setups that come with a tiny solid-colored "toy-soldierized" pilot. zozo-Magengar

Damn, How on friggin Earth could i have forgotten These!
Also, Mego's Biotron and Microtron can be piloted, like vehicles, by the Time Traveler figures.
I remember back in the summer of '81, during my first visit to Puerto Rico, seeing the Guardian robot figure (with its two sub-figures) displayed in a toystore window... that Guardian figure looked Huge back then!
Thanks for the Wake-Up, Ed!!! ;D

Well excluding the 1.5 inch CRV armored figure that came with the red Mospeada in my other thread im only looking for mechs with pilots that fall into the Diakron/Diaclone pilot height range (im trying to stay consistent lol).
Those figures are 30mm tall (224-27 without magnet blocks) and have the minimum requirement of 4 pts. of articulation. Ive heard there were knock off diclone / diakron mechs out there with knock off pilots along with but i havent come across them yet....
Help lol?

Although not poseable Zoids had little silver or gold pilots and are a nice toy line to collect.

I remember seeing these roughly a year ago and was VERY interested in acquiring some !!!! (i believe the price put me off but ill have to take a look again to see what the are going for). What size are the pilots? Ball jointed / universal movement hips? WHY they didnt release these in the US is beyond me (if they did i never saw them). Phenomenal mech / figure sets. BTW..ive not come across that many detailed photos of these so thanks a lot for posting them.
