Coldiron: I saw that one! (The 80's flick, not Small Woner)Didn't it have a princess and something about a desert planet, and an ugly bad guy named Vark Snader, or something like that.
I think they even did a sequel.
But gee doesn't Small Wonder look it's chock full of laughs and family fun. Watch the kids interact with the all too human android.
Son: Hey, robot girl. Go up to that guy and say,"*&^($#@%^"
Robot girl: That does not compute.
Audience: LAUGHLAUGHLAUGH!
Daughter: Hey Robot girl, Go jump in front of that car...
Dad: Now kids, that's not nice. Come on with me, robot girl. We'll get in the car and drive a long way out onto some country road somewhere.
Robot girl: *&^%$(*&^
Audience: LAUGHLAUGHLAUGH!

Hey, is That the same theatre that's also known as the Wiltern Theatre (Wishire Blvd/Wilton Ave, in the mid-Wilshire district near downtown LA)? That build has a beautiful nostalgic art-deco appearance perfect for movies like "Flash Gordon" and "Metropolis". zozo-Magengar KingboyD: I remember seeing Flesh Gordon at the the Wilshire theatre back in the 70's. The Wilshire was a trip. Two dollars would get you in. They showed the old, the obscure, the foreign, the cheap, and the weird, and the show changed every three days. Better yet, they let you bring in beer, or wine, or even your own pizza. If you were discreet you could get away with a little smokin'. I was bombed by the time Flesh Gordon came on, and I thought it was like the coolest, campiest film of all time. I rented it a couple of years ago. It blows chunks. JWM

I do not remember much else other than they jouneyed a long way and were getting tired or out of batteries.

This one was a small theater on a side street in Fullerton, which is in north Orange County. It was an odd theatre, too. Rumor had it that it had originally been some sort of public pool back in the twenties or thirties. Actually, there were quite a few places like that in the 70's- run down theatres that showed old movies for cheap. The Wilshire was just a little crazier than the others. JWM
