Kind of bored thought I post a subject to see what the responces would be like. There's a ton of rare toys that I remember seeing as a kid, but I vaguely remember. I'm sure you guys all have a few. I'm hoping when people post up their top 5 it will be fairly rare. And get people to rediscover some toys that they havn't thought of in a while. Basically toys that arn't disccussed in these forums much or at all (like transformers, macross or microman.. I guess would be too main stream... just really oddball stuff). Here's my top 5 1)Machine Soldier Dorvack Nove [Red] 1/24 Powered Armor Series 2) transforming egg animals these arn't the exact images I was looking for. I remember the originals being these cool metalic colours. Gold and silver but basically they're the exact same mold. any one know what the originals were called? Bandai 3) SD transforming jet (hornet?) I think it turned into a egg. kind of vague on that one 4)Magno blackhole figures www.bugeyedmonster.com/toys/blackhole/magno.shtml5)Starcom Shadow Raider

I liked anything to do with Starcom - it was the line that seemed (to me anyway) to have the most playability. I had that Shadow Raider, btw... and also the good guy counterpart which loaded modules onto its bed. But what I REALLY wanted was a playset. I'm pretty sure there was at least one made... this was possibly the toy line I knew the least about yet was obsessed with attempting to "collect." Since I knew my parents would never go for that idea, I settled on trying to collect based on a theme (I chose the marine guys with the gray vehicles; I only got as far as two - the loader and a jeep-like smaller vehicle). I also always think back and wish I had gotten this die-cast SDF-1 I found in a local hardware store's toy aisle... NOBODY has a photo of this. It was carded like an action figure. At the time I didn't know what Robotech was (it didn't play in my area). And of course... MASK toys. I had several - but there were a few that I never got my hands on back then... For some reason there were a couple that just didn't seem to be on the shelves (the jeep that launched a boat for instance seemed to be a rare one).

I had one of those egg animals, a black bear when I was a kid. The line is called "tamagoras" I think.

As a kid, I never really knew what was out there, but I remember I was jealous of my friend who had the original G1 Megatron. Also wanted a G1 Apeface. Now an adult, in retrospect, I should have begged my folks at least for a Voltes V and a Grendizer!

i was mostly into gi joe as a kid, but there are three toys I always remember wanting REALLY badly: 1) Bandai Vf-1s super valk. I saw it in a toystore on a family visit to the local "kids-only market". Instantly fell in love. I didn't even know what it was called at the time, but I have had a clear image of the toy etched into my brain for the past 20 oddyears. 2) Baron Karza. My bros had a ton of micronauts ships and vehicles, so we always had a few of those little catalogues lying around. I used to obsess over getting my own baron karza + horsey one day. 3) Omega Supreme. I saw this guy in Radio Shack one day, went and told all my friends about this rad, giant transformer called Omega Supreme and they all thought the name was stupid and I had made it up I always wanted to get it, just to waggle it in front of their faces.

I've always wanted a Popy DX Voltes V since I was a kid. Now I'm working on getting a complete one. So far, I've managed to get a Volt Machine Crewzer 1. I'm expecting to have the Volt Machine Panzer 3 delivered from Japan in the next two weeks. (Thanks vivi1561!) That's 40 percent of my childhood dream becoming a reality.
When I moved to Taiwan in the 80's, my mother bought me a Diaclone Great Robot Base. She also got me a Popy DX Diamos DX and DX Danguard Ace in Hong Kong. My younger cousins wrecked most of my toys when I left my toychest at my grandmother's after I l went for college in the States. Damn!

Trypticon, he just was my childhood dream, and still is. Voltes DX or other Godaikin to play along with my Goggle V. One Jeeg or Gaiking toy.
