I've been watching a few of the Panda-Z episodes lately on Youtube and talk about misdirected and unrecognized potential. Panda-Z is an awesome concept, but Miraclehouse botched it. Panda-Z could have been a multi-national franchise on par with household names like Scooby Doo or Spongebob, but Miraclehouse completely missed the boat. I mean, let's face it, the shorts suck. It's bad animation, and duller than dull stories to the point where even the whimsical elements are basically lost in the mindless banality. And I might as well throw in that the theme song is..not it.
It's too bad. It's easy to imagine what Panda-Z could have been in more capable hands, but instead it will probably be nothing more than a footnote in pop culture history.

Any cartoon that tells kids that eating batteries is a big "no-no" deserves respect.
It's silly, stupid... I love it. And the robot doesn't even appear in this one.
The theme song, well... it's JAM Project J "butt-rock" at its corniest. Whether it's good or bad depends on your tastes, your state of mind and if that thing you've picked up from on the floor was really edible or not.

I love the toys they did for the show.
I have some of the smaller PVC figures.
I want the Chokin large figure they did and some of the other enemy mecha.
Its a fun idea. I got the first DVD.

I've watched some of the shorts, and I have to admit that the "battery-eating" business made me laugh. The theme song drives me crazy though. I can hardly stand it.
The robots (the ones I've seen anyway) are cool.

Welcome to the board jeshika!
I love the figures. I have few and they are all excellent pieces with fine paint.
