It's not often that you see High End pieces go without Reserves.

look at the highest bidder's rating and date of registration and then look at the sellers's registration date. Coincidence? I think it's waaaayyyy tooo overpriced for a tet28. But anyway, what can we do? Just droool on seeing one. he he he ;D

I can just imagine the rush of winning such a heavy auction- and maybe the remorse. How would you like to break the news of a victory like that to your wife? "Hi, Sweetheart. Look what we got instead of this year's vacation." JWM

I had to see this out of curiosity; the RJ Gallery here, has great pics & review of this figure. This toy must weigh around 7 to 8 lbs.? Can anybody tell me more about the tiny figures of the two 'roboboys' and 'maintenance bots'? Size/height, articulation (looks like they have working knee joints) and how do their magnets work (are they in the feet like the tiny Diaclone/Dianaut figures?)?
Thanks, Ward

if you look hard enough on the net , there is at least one out there with a 350,000yen price tag. The box might not be in as good shape as the one being auctioned.
I guess the price of T-28's have gone up a LOT lately. I noticed the same with the 2 smaller Popy diecasts and the pot-belly Popy diecast.

The price was at $5,500.00 for a little while until allroad04(0)'s bid was cancelled for not being a U.S. Bidder.

The price was at $5,500.00 for a little while until allroad04(0)'s bid was cancelled for not being a U.S. Bidder. You know, I think there were a few in there that weren't US Bidders...more than likely it was because of the zero feedback...hell, I would have bounced a 0 bidder at $5500. In fact, ALL of the bidders up until txfinney weren't from the US...in sum, only 4 of the bidders on that auction were from the us. If I were the winner, I'd hit the seller up to delete the bids from 0 feedback and non-US bidders as non-compliant with the terms of the auction. ;D

Yep, I agree with you johnkane. The problem is that most people that have seen this auction will think that the value of tetsujin is that high and misrepresentations and problems will occur. Anyway, that's life! ;D

Apparently the value of the Chokinzoku is that high, based on the bids placed on it....it's just that the vast majority of the bidders didn't comply with the territorial restriction.

Anyway, that's life! ;D True, but then again it is a free market. I wouldn't characterize it as a misrepresentation. I know of about 2 that are for sale for $3800. Their condition was not as good. So how much is that better box and cleaner toy worth? Ed
