Even though it's against ebay's rules, have you guys contacted a Seller to make him an offer he can't refuse? I stumbled across a hidden auction for a couple of Bullmark Bots: Apolon Trang (junior) & Boss Palder (junior). The set was complete with generic boxes (for K-Mart), launcher adapter and 2 flying discs. The auction had a low starting bid ($2.99, I think). I felt it would just be a matter of time before someone found it, so I wrote the Seller to see if he would just sell me the Apolon Trang (I already have a boxed Boss) for $10.00 plus freight. He quickly changed the auction to a Buy it Now for $10.00. My freight came out to $2.75. Everyone is happy, plus we can still exchange feedback since it was a "legit" auction. The Seller's pic is a little hazy, so I borrowed one from Mr. Alen Yen for a better view: Has anyone out there scored due to a Private Session with a Seller?

No, I haven't yet. I have made offers, but was declined. Anyway, you got a really good deal there. Nice!

I usually find that once you make an offer and the seller declines, he looks up the item, and then it is re-listed with a big reserve. It has happened with me. When i get a lot of offers to just "buy" something, i always do a second look to see what my item is worth, or how it may be better labeled.
I had some rare psx games that that had happened with.

Ah, such are the hazards of our profession Mr. Kane, but I'm sure there will be a Boss Palder up for auction (cheap) very soon.

A couple of weeks back, I saw a 1/55 mugen calibur listed for $0.10. It was de-listed a couple of days later. It was purportedly MIB. So I asked the seller what happened to it. He told me to make an offer, as he was going to re-list it. I asked him what he had in mind, and he told me [glow=red,2,300]59.95[/glow]. It's in great shape...was only missing the range finder and the instructions.

I got the RX-93 DX for $10.00 shipped. I don't know if that was such a big score, but discounted nonetheless.
