Look your items up on ebay completed auctions and see what they sold for, then use that as an indicator of what you would get there (before fees), and use that to set your prices here.

That Italian company that makes all the vinyl Grendizer stuff made aprox. 1/8 scale figures of Maria, Duke Fleed with and without helmet, and Koji in his TFO suit. I have the Maria and 2 Fleed versions, pm if interested.

The bootlegs were $50 when they came out in 2000. I have one, MIB for the same $50 if anyone is interested. They really are pretty impressive copies.

You've got the rarest of the GoLion releases with the chrome middles and tails. Once you get them apart, I'd leave 'em that way and buy a more common issue to combine.

I have the Lion from the chest, already stripped of the paint if you want to do a test run.

Right, here are the Mothers polish and the Sharpie, both of which you can get at Walmart. They also have Mothers Chrome Polish there. The next shot is comparing the Great Mazinger's polished legs to that of an oxidized Dangard. That's how the Mazinger's looked before.

I'm not sure about the painted parts, but last week I decided to resurrect an old abused popy Great Mazinger GA-whatever number he is. The silver thighs were very dull and oxidized. I used some Mothers Aluminum Wheel cleaner on them, just rubbed it on gently, and with a minute they were shining like mirrors. I mean it was amazing. I bet you could have scrubbed them all day with soap and water and never achieved that kind of result. I was gonna toss this toy but after that cleaning and taking a Silver Sharpie to his head to cover all the paint rubs on his crown and face plate, he looks like new and is on display in my case.
Silver Sharpie is almost a perfect match for the silver paint on these old Popy pieces by the way.

I've been tracking DX GoLion variants for a while now and can generally differentiate between the various Japan, Taiwan, and US versions. But I have come across a Blue Lion that has some unique characteristics I have not seen before: Whisker Lines on the Snout - On all other releases I've seen, only the Yellow lion has whisker lines on the snout beside the nose. The Blue lion usually only has them on the cheeks. This one has them in both places. Note that it also has the sharp teeth like the Japanese or Taiwan versions. Flush Mounted Red Missile Launcher - On most Taiwan versions, the Red missile launcher on the back does not sit flush. It sticks up a bit and has 2 screws visible on the front. This one sits flush with no screws just like the Japanese or US versions. Ridged White Areas on Back - This lion has ridges molded into the white squares on the back. I've never seen that on any other version. Ribbed Lower Legs - Each of the 4 lower legs has a ribbed design that is different from all other versions I've seen. There are no manufacturer marks or stickers. Anyone else out there have or seen this version? I think it is probably a Taiwan copy of some sort, not LionBot, but maybe Jaguarbot or 5-in-1 bot versions?

No Prob. I think the all-chrome is supah-rare, the half chrome also pretty rare, and the no chrome being the more common of the three.

This is a known variant of the Popy Golion. The first version is all chrome middle sections on the Red and Green Lions; Second is the half chrome half not as seen here; Third is no chrome.

There's a new all plastic knockoff out there. I picked one up to customize into a Mighty Orbots.

Examples as nice as the ones pictured above would be pretty expensive. $450+ for the GA-79 and half that for the GA-78. Somewhere in that area.

Depends if your are trying to determine the most bootlegged Toy or the most bootlegged Character. If toy, then I think the DX GoLion wins it. If character then it's probably Mazinger.

How's this, I sold my MIB Combattler Godaikin for $60 shipped around 1987-1988 time frame before I realized that these things increased in value. Grrrrrrrrr.

I've been logging Golion variations for a while now. In addition to the version with the V in the belt instead of the star, there are also versions with a solid Diamond shape instead of the star and some where the star is upside down.

Use Acrylics only. Enamel will melt the vinyl. You can also use Tamiya spray cans from hobby stores, they're not exactly acrylic, but some special formulation that is vinyl safe and they coat very smoothly.
