I love the Tranzer mode! Lol That transformation scene is my favorite part of the show and I probably shot more pics of gx-43 in Tranzer than in robot mode. Anyway with regards to the mini action, I like the transformation here better than the SOC. It could’ve been executed more cleanly but it’s an improvement IMO. Articulation is not compromised and it’s not wonky like the arms ending up inside the legs. And I always thought if you’re gonna switch out the head/cab then just have it be swappable instead of trying to hide 2 versions inside the body. If you’re reading this, Bandai, I want a new transforming Daimos! Make it a DX if you have to (but for my wallet’s sake, preferably not). http://instagram.com/p/BXRrUrVgYaO http://instagram.com/p/BW_oX2_gTMs

DX Voltes V. The new Robot Spirits Evangelions look good too. I’m predicting we’ll see an SoC FA Lion Voltron next year and I’m still holding out hope for SOC Biorobo and Great Five. What's a SOC FA Lion Voltron? FA for Full Action. It’s Bandai’s Soul of Chogokin subline that focuses on articulation and poseability. Because of that, they don’t have the combining features of regular SoCs. So an FA Voltron wouldn’t be able to separate into lions but you should be able to recreate almost any pose from the anime and then some.

I’m curious, once we all get our hands on Dairugger, what is everyone most looking forward to after that? For Voltron fans, 2019 is surely going to be a hard year to beat in the SoC line... If you’re talking about the one he has standing in the back, I believe that’s the original one made back in the 80s(?).

Seems most are rehashes with some variations. I don't have this big excitement for the announced figures. Edit: what's the difference between a DX SOC and a regular SOC? Size for one. DX’s are larger. Also new engineering that goes with the size and I think the DX has some sound fx. Here’s the DX combattler next to the SOC gx-50 combattler

I’m in love 😍 Kinda wish I was able to secure a preorder from one of the Japanese retailers just so I can get it early. As posted in the prior page...I'll see my Japanese PO for $5000000. Take it or leave it.

Wotafa vehicle GX-88 review ahhh excited!!! That's not The Soul of Chogokin Gx-88 Vehicle Voltron. That's the 80s one. Saw that yesterday and thought it was gx-88 too. Guy knows how to cash in on the hype lol

19 days but who's counting Actually 10 days. 10-26 is the release date. Expect to receive shipping notices after Wednesday next week for those who ordered from Japan. Yea if you ordered from BBTS or some other US retailer then you’re sadly looking at about a month or so. 😕

Oh man. Can’t wait for this 🤤. My most anticipated toy of the year (well this and MP-44 Optimus Prime) I wonder if the Voltron graphic is a slip cover like Lion Voltron. Hoping for a slip cover for consistency.

The release of this line seems to have been delayed yet again. Got another email from CD Japan that the release date is now Aug 2019 (for Voltes V and Combattler V). Those were originally slated early this year or even late last year... Mini Action Voltes V and both SD Combattler and Voltes V are out already...as i saw people posting thiers.. but i guess in depends on the region. I saw a Japanese review of the combattler recently but I also got an email from amiami that it got pushed back to August so I’m kinda confused as to the status of this thing.

They’ve been great for me. I PO most of my SHF figures from them and bought GX-71 from them when it was originally released. Never had any issues and they’ve been very responsive when I had questions. How well do they package items? Wish they had some sort of "collector's condition" that I could select from like ToyDojo or BBTS. I'm almost certain if I keep my PO with Amazon, my GX-88 will arrive from them with damage to the item's packaging / outer box. I would say pretty good. I’ve never received a dented figure box from them. They use those peanut shaped foams for packaging They don’t bubble wrap them though.

FWIW, I am hearing that the Japanese market just is not like it was a few years ago...so, Bandai is curbing some of their production numbers. In short, while it may not seem like it, the demand is actually less than before. That is part of what I don't get. If that's true then they should be trying to tap into the potential of the overseas markets, where there should be much more potential for growth. IMO they don't even have to expand any retail channels, just figure out how to distribute P-Bandai to a broader market, which is more shipping/logistics. None of the secondary market profits are going to Bandai. I know in general Japanese companies are very conservative, but this just seems so obvious. I’m no expert on this but from what I’ve gathered, because of some legal shenanigans that happened in the 80s, Bandai and other Japanese toymakers can’t sell Macross products outside Japan. If you notice, a lot of macross products that are sold internationally are branded as robotech and none of them are from Japan. Someone here can probably elaborate more on this or correct me if I’m wrong.
