Great review. This version of Roboizer reminds me of regular CM's Brave Gokin BossPalder figure somehow.

Wild guess: it will be a recolor version only (not re-tool), based on final episode of Gunbuster in BW color scheme.

It really really looks like a 3D renders to me. Pre order for the transforming version of Daitetsujin 17 is already offered in local store in Jakarta and some HK based online stores (no Japan stores so far?). But it's good that this item is scheduled to be released in October. Means that there are enough times for us buyers, to wait for the actual product pictures show up, hopefully.
I guess most of you already know things can go south with these items from new company...
I'll keep my eyes open for the actual product pictures before deciding. In the meantime, I pre ordered the World Scope's non-transforming version. If it turns out the Imagine/Ultra Alloy version looks good, I will get it too!

What do you think about the sculpt and movie accuracy for both version of D-17 figures, Baron? In the end with Sentai robots I dont like movie accuracy cuz it would look like a man in a suit ya know? id rather it upgraded to like a voltes type body,Super Robot like...the One Seven version that started this thread has a more dynamic look like that,Rather have that than one that is stumpy but transforms.. Ah good point!

It's really interesting to see Arcadia picking up the pieces from CM's defunct product line. It seems like they're not just carrying on Yamato's legacy. I wonder what other products they'll re-introduce, if any. CM's had a laundry list of gokins that never left prototype stage, it'd be cool to see them actually come out. Yes, it would be cool to get Dancouga Nova, the Neo Getters, and Acrobunch! Would be cool indeed but I can see they're after the cash cow first. Perhaps Goshogun is the next one. Or from the Yamato line up, should be that Ingram. These days many releases feel just like an upgrade to me if not the reissue. Oh well.

Holy...that's very pricey. Is it a gokin toy? The only diecast is in the joints seen in the prototype in the first post. As for this toy, what the hell is Megahouse smoking? That has gotta be a typo. This thing is nowhere nearly as large as any of Arcadia's 1/60 offerings, isn't as intricately engineered, will probably have far worse QC as we've come to expect from Megahouse. Looks like it ain't a typo at all. I really-really-really wonder what's the catch here.

Love his works. I have few of his books. Any of the books focus specifically on box art and similar robot work? The exhibition sounds great, wish I could go. There are quite a lot of books dedicated to his works. Mine are 'Anime Illustration' covering his works for Combat Mecha Xabungle, Aura Battler Dunbine, and a lil bit of SDF Macross (which are mostly his initial works for box cover art of Arii plastic models), and also 'Wonder Art Takani Style' (military illustrations, Godzilla, L-Gaim, Layzner, etc) and another one is dedicated book for Panzer World Galient (which heavily has his works in it). There are also other books out there specially covering his works for Gundams, Ultra Q, and other stuff. Mostly his works were used for box cover art, official publication poster, and whatnot. Shouldn't be too hard to find.
