based on the last I heard, I would think that they will hit the market mid or late October. I have two on pre-order, a normal version and my first Limited Edition. There is a chance that my Limited will arrive a little bit early, If I am the first to get one, I will do a complete video review so everyone can see. Chachi did a much better review on Gattiger than I can do so I didn't bother reviewing Gattiger.. Last I heard from Chachi, he had a lot of reviews to do and probably wouldn't be getting Zmaz right away. So, If I get him first I will review it on the Limited and if you guys want, I will do a quick video showing the Normal version when it comes in so you guys can see what he looks like too.
Roboizer is a pretty simple looking character and the Flying Tiger stole the show but ZMaz looks more interesting as a character and I have high hopes for that one..so far, the photos look pretty good but we are just going to have to wait and see. I just have a feeling that it is going to be more fun that Gin Gin and Gattiger..

DAMN! they must have assembled that before the paint was 100% dry... I think this is the second one we know about that the neck broke, right? The first edition did not do that.. at least they are sending a replacement.

I do not know this for a fact, but I think that many of the little things you find on a figure like this one are "hand finished". There is always a chance of some Chinese girl working in a factory gets tired and makes a cut wrong on a piece of plastic or does not add enough glue to something and the mistake makes it past final inspection.. IF YOU HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH A HLPRO FIGURE, contact HLPRO! They are known for good customer service and I am sure they will be willing to help you.
as one member mentioned in another thread about Gattiger, they are the kind of company that will even make spare parts so if you break something they have spares... this is a sign that they are trying to make everyone happy with their purchase.

no, no way... must be a batch of extra repair parts so if people have problems they can send out improved replacement parts. You gotta consider that Gattiger is only the SECOND articulated die cast humanoid figure that they have made with this new "platform" and its going to take time for them to figure out the best way to get it done. Its still the same basic thing as Gin Gin just tweaked here and there.. I think the softer ratchets on Gin Gin was more the way to go though... Gatt is just too tight out-of-the-box in my opinion. He DOES get slicker with time though.. I stil liked the way Gin Gin's joints felt though.. I don't even worry about that hip its the same hip on Gin Gin and its holding fine.

oh yeah, when its something within their control, they jump right on it.. OH Giru-Giru.. for some reason I thought you said Gin Gin.. yeah if you got that for 99 bucks you made out like a bandit. That must have been one of the last ones! I think the normal release sold out long ago.. had I known they still had a few I would have hit them up for one.. I may still do that actually but I'm cash-strapped right now.

Ok, if its Go then its Go. Its a nice drawing but going by the drawings in manga or anime is really hard because a lot of times the characters are drawn differently in the same episode and not really consistent all the time. The artists involved were working fast and just going by feel .. this is artwork and artwork usually isn't too technical. Like if you look at the old Grendizer Manga, it LOOKS GREAT but the drawings are just all over the place. You know Gendizer when you see Grendizer but he looks different in each drawing... impossible stuff a lot of the times.
like look at the hands in the drawing you posted.. are his hands blue or black? They are drawn as blue.. if the hands are blue are the forearms blue?? Then in the next drawing, both hands and forearms may be black... then next drawing they both could be blue again.. its crazy. Its whatever color the artist thought was best for the drawing at the time..

Magengar... ahhahah THAT DOES LOOK LIKE CEASAR ROMERO in that photo. HAHAHAH! I am positive that it has much to do with camera angle and shadow, like you said. In the other photos I have seen of Z Mazinger's face, it looked very good to me.. looked on par with other Mazinger figures of good quality. Something about it reminds me of Energer or something like that.. just enough difference to the face to let you know that it is not a Normal Mazinger Z face that you are looking at... it has something "other" to it.. he has "spikes" coming up from his eyes and different details on his head.. I think it looks cool.

The drawing you are showing , I don't think is canon ... the only original color drawings from the Manga are the comic book covers and think it is only 4 or 5 covers that show very little of Z mazinger himself, usually just the head. .. everything else that is original Manga is black and white manga print.
anything else in color was done later by other license holders in other productions at a later date. The Metaltech Zmazinger sculpt is an interpretation of the original Manga Z Mazinger ONLY.. the later versions of Z Mazinger did not apply. Of the original Z Mazinger manga source material in color, there is almost NOTHING.. the rest is all printed in black and white. As far as the manga itself, the exact color is not specified and is understood to be the same as "Mazinger Z".... "Mazinger Z" has been shown as either Black or Blue, depending on who is drawing him. Contrary to what is said here from time to time, there is no "correct color" to anything. As far as the companies involved in making Manga, Anime or figures go, there is really no "correct color" to ANYTHING. This is not a Japanese concept. Any character can be any color or shape depending on what the license holder wants... in the same way that superman or spider man can have any face or costume.. but you always know Superman or Spiderman when you see him. Its like that. There must be 20 versions of Superman.. but its all Superman. Just because it does not have Chris Reeves face on the figure, that does not mean that it is not Superman... just because one company uses a different red or blue from the other license holders, that does not mean that it is not Superman.. ITS ALL SUPERMAN! HAHAH .. Japanese Super Robots are the same way..
Top Japanese pre-order for Z Mazinger is ... the normal blue release. Top EU pre-order for Z Mazinger is... the Black releases.
The Japanese are more flexible about what color something should be.. they just buy the color that they like.

ok, confirmed.. this is the "normal" blue release... and yes, it comes with effects.. breast attack, rocket punch, brain condor sword, stone column ect.
-Gokin, based on prior conversations, the limited Black version will be Chrome.. the Manga Black version will be white but I am not 100% sure about the Manga yet.. based on what we all saw in the past, it should be white. Pre-sales on zmazinger have been very VERY good... the black and silver version looked too good to ignore. I suspect that a black and silver will eventually be released, later on but this is just my estimation based on how the robot industry works a lot of the time.
I am very happy with the new "normal" release and I am glad that I pre ordered one.. I think the silver looks a lot better than the white. I don't really like the chrome limited version as much as the silver limited that was proposed, but I pre-ordered a chrome version also anyway just to see it and to have the collectors value. I have a feeling that the chrome full-production version is going to look better than the tease photos and the limited releases ALWAYS gain in collectors value.. I almost NEVER see a limited version being sold later on in the collectors market, most guys keep them in the collection forever.
Zmaz and the Condor are the last MTs for 2015.. 2016 will be Astroganger (as announced elsewhere) and at least one more. (not announced yet)

oh ok I see what youre talking about .. I think that's mostly the angle of the photo.. in the other photos it doesn't look like that. Kind of reminds me of Energer a little bit..

Based the close-up photos of his face that HL Pro released It looks normal to me.. I don't see what you guys are talking about. I would post that photo but posting photos here is a pain.

man, that LOOKS GOOD!... maybe they changed the blue one to silver, I don't know.. looking at it now, I hope they did. This would look real good next to a SOC Mazigner Z. .. but we cant get too excited about this kind of thing, its a tease photo.. it could just be a custom paint job on a production figure as a color test... nothing is certain until the release begins.. last I heard, the normal blue release is white, unless they changed it without saying anything.. here is another possibility, pre-sales could have been so good on Zmaz that new color options are being considered?

there are at least 3 releases last I heard, Blue, white, chrome... I think they replaced the silver with the chrome but I am not positive. I will find out. I have the blue on order and the chrome on order.. when I get the chrome I will post a video so you can see it better. I do not know the exact release date on the chrome.. the blue (normal) version should be arriving into the USA in a matter of days now..maybe a week or a bit longer, no exact date yet.

it must be for the Chrome version.. the normal release version is finished already.
No, I just didn't know who was asking about sword color.. I don't keep up with the public release information that much. A lot of what I hear is just rumor that came from other forums so I just wanted to know where the info came from. If HLpro put that question out, then they want to know.
I remember seeing that concept art for the swords a long time ago.. maybe 6 months ago at least. When I saw it I though that maybe there was some confusion about out it. A ton of drawings about zmaz got released a long time ago if memory serves me correctly.
sometimes I lose track about what has been publicly released and what was NOT released to the public.
