quick question for those who own both, bandai and icarus version, If you have to choose just one, which one would you pick? (I missed the SOC and waiting for a new release, but this one seems really good) SOC without a doubt. But this is next in line.

maybe its just me...but I've never thought this product to ever be licensed. Its a 3rd party item, developed in china (or wherever). they can put whatever stickers, trademarks, logos they want on it. Its not going to change my mind on getting it one way or another. If i like it, I buy it. Given the history around the original King of Beast, i'm surprised anyone actually thought this one was licensed. and within the robot toy industry and so many independent parties making stuff, its no surprise and common place to have KO's. personally I could care less its not endorsed or licensed by WEP.

0x Toynami Voltron True dat. Let's be fair. The Toynami wasn't bad for its day. It's just that they never improved it after its day. It was the best we had seen 15 years ago. But by the time the 30th Anniversary rolled around and they just re-released the same molds? Gee maybe you could make it so the leg lions stay on when I pick it up? I have the 30th. He's been an acceptable display piece for a few years now, but he is being retired to his box. I'd probably sell him, but I like the stand for the SOC. again. true dat. seriously though, yes, when it first released, I thought it looked nice, but not the price. And there really wasn't anything else to compare it to. I ultimately passed on it. I would like to add one to my collection, but for the cost, personally I would rather spend my money on something else, which I did the SoC. best decision ever.

I ordered a 2nd Voltron through Amazon. I kid you not, they did not even box it. They wrapped it in plastic and stuck a label on it. The corners are crushed, part of the box ripped...I've never seen anything this crazy in my entire collecting career. I'm asking them to send me a replacement, and sent in a box! Damn that sucks. Mine came from Amazon....but was in a box. It had zero padding on the inside. luckily mine arrived perfect.

Thanks HG. Anyone who has been a long time collector uses the IKEA Detolf to display their figures. I have 4 of them myself. Easily recommended, I have just one, despite the small edge gaps when air can get through they do an amazing job of keeping the figures free of dust. as do I. Working on lighting them up as we speak
