I thought KFC did a good job on Transistor, "Blaster".

With DX9 having hinted at doing a Blitzwing, and knowing their baseline quality level from Chigurh, KFC would have to try pretty hard to get my interest with this. I have to agree you 100% on that! DX9 "Astrotrain" is a great figure!!

Something about Tyrants hands too. Can't quite put my finger on it, maybe too thin/small?

I just have to wonder why a new company would pick a character like Shockwave to make seeing as how Fanstoys' Quakwave set the bar so high for so many figures. If it goes their way and it is a superior product then it could make the company, if it bombs, then it could kill this new company. I think it is a big gamble especially now that FT Quakewave is going to be released again.

I Agree, the 3rd party Ironhides that are out there I like better then the "official" Takara one. TFC's offering is to chunky for me. I have the iGear Specialist and Medic for my Ironhide and Ratchet. But still on the fence about buying the "official" ones.

Got Sever today and Tesla too. just had time to open the boxes and take a quick peek inside! Both looked fantastic! Can't wait to get some time this weekend to get into transformations. I still find it weird that the usual guys that do the reviews have not said awhole lot about these guys. Please give feedbacks. I am still hesitating to pick Tesla...(versus a MT Chromedome) Sever aka Snarl is exactly what you would expect of FansToys and the rest of the Dinobot line they have been producing. Good solid joint, a good heft to the character, and very nice gold Chrome! All that is needed to complete the look is the Autobot symbols.(The one on the dino head had to be split down the middle, but that was easy with a sharp exacto) I recommend it very highly and welcome it to my collection. Telsa aka Perceptor, in my opinion, is a great figure right out of the box! Some people have kinda bashed him for the simple transformation, but he transforms into a microscope, what would you expect? lol I played around with the transformation abit and kinda got a passable tank/ artillery cannon, but I will display him in robot mode anyway. I would recommend him for your collection as a very good representation of a MP Perceptor, of course the needed Autobot symbol on his chest to finish it off and to the shelf with him!

Just wondering how much will it cost you to make this? I've been told that the 3D printers are quite expensive to run, true?

I remember watching it Saturday mornings, back when Saturday was "cartoon day". The only thing that kinda bothered me was the "mass shifting" that went on. We clearly in most episodes each of the Orbots interacting with humans and thay are "human sized". When they combine the center robot grows big enough to park a mid sized car in chest and have lots of room. lol Ahhh yes the 80's!

So do you guys have any suggestions of some trusted overseas stores that have good reputations and shipping doesn't cost and arm and a leg to ship to Canada? The vendors I know of, which are only alternatives in case for some reason, I choose not to go with BBTS (my primary source for 3rd-party toys) is Robot Kingdom and Chimungmung. Both those places are great for Masterpieces too. But, for Masterpieces (official) release, I usually have decent luck getting them from AmiAmi or Hobby Search. Given the amount I get from BBTS and their Pile of Loot system, I really don't even calculate shipping because of the size of the boxes that I get about twice a year from them. So, not sure how much I'd save on one-offs...but, if you want, Robot Kingdom and Chimungmung are two alternatives. You do know you have some Canadian vendors like Automaton Toys and Ages 3 & Up, right? Yeah I do buy from Automaton but they recently changed to charging for items in US funds, and the exchange is pretty bad on the Canadian dollar vs the US dollar. So I am just trying to do a little research of my own to see if it is really cheaper to buy from Japan and do the exchange + shipping ect. Some have suggested that this is the way to go as the exchange is more favorable with the yen vs CND.
