Yep, GX-70 on the end, I assume that is a SRC in the middle and GX-01R 40th Anniversary at the beginning. GX-70 still looks the best to me. Those legs on the GX-01 are just too chunky now, they didn't used to seem to be but now? I would take GX-70 over any other representation of Mazinger in the SoC line except of course for the DX Mazinger. I also don't like the ball joints at the hips to show like they do on GX-01/R and all the others too. I totally agree with your points. Funny, I never really realized just how chunky he was... and I used to think the GX-45 was as good as it got (especially with all those extending joints). Now he just looks like an caricature of the zed.

I finally got a hit on Metal Build Seven Sword/G. For anyone looking, I was told by a retailer friend that distributor sales are going to end on the 10th, so if you're going to preorder it then now's the time. Also, multiple retailers have let me know that they're literally getting less than ten of these, so it seems like quantities are really sparce in general which explains the literal 1 minute sellouts. I was chatting with a retailer friend of mine, and he was telling me that he would literally get a fraction of the metal builds they'd order. Like 1/10 of an order. I'd imagine that Bluefin still considers gundam to me a niche market in North America (since the anime hasn't left the impression that it did in Asia since Wing Gundam) and it just isn't worth making the gamble. I can't blame them. The economy has been complete sh*t for the past 7 years and retailers are still dropping like flys. I'm just glad we are able to get this stuff at a somewhat reasonable price at all.

Yeah why this time there is such huge difference in japan pricing and USA pricing? The price at HLJ is around 150 USD while all USA sellers charge for 230? It was the same for me for the A F-91. If I remember correctly, I got it at Nippon Yasan shipped for less than $190

It literally just showed up on Nippon Yasan, and sold out. If it wasn't a release with domestic distribution, I'd be pulling my hair out.

I personally prefer this scale ...I guess it's ok. A few millimeters don't make much of a difference. I guess I am just used to thinking Kaiser was huge compared to Z Thanks for posting this picture. I've been thinking this for a while now... is it safe to assume that the CM's grendizer is the most scale toy when placed with SOC Maz Z? Or maYbe SRC Maz Z + SOC Great Maz?

personally i think every jeeg that has been made was a failure. bandai is the only hope to make a good one. and yes i owned the cm (?) verson too. it was floppy and weak all over brand new. i sold it for a loss just to get rid of it. You're never going to get a perfect Jeeg to Gokin standards. The problem is Jeeg was created based around a toy gimmick. The Magnet joints. So it's hard to have a good or accurate Jeeg without them. But they will always be floppy. ET has probably come the closest to making the concept work. But it is still a far cry from well engineered hips and knees. Those Magnet themed robots, Jeeg, Gakeen and Battarack are always going to have a few issues baked in as high end collectors Gokin, Simply because of the nature of the toys they were created to be. I own all three CM's magnet joint toys, and agree, Gakeen and Battarack have issues, but personally, I was very suprised by Jeeg. I feel like the joint designs were some of the best of the bunch. I never had a problem get Hèfé to hold a reasonable pose. (Gakkeen and Battarack were much tricker). I just wish Jeeg's rocket punch wasn't held by a hair trigger. Haven't had a chance to play with Jeeg's air sea land set, but I honestly believe Bandai will be hard pressed to create a better Jeeg (especially with all the option parts)

I'm agreeing with everyone who wants to see it in raideen colors. It's the only way you can convince me that what I'm looking at is (or at least related to) RAIDEEN.

I just grabbed it from Nippon yasan. I had to refresh the page 6 times. And as soon as I went back (after ordering) it was sold out. I can't keep up with this madness. Same here...except that I put it in the cart, and sold out during processing ! That's insane BOOOOOO. That SUCKS

Yeah, I waited to the minute. For some reason HLJ didn't upload a sales page till later, and when I went back to check right now, it was sold out. Crazy

it's a standard /normal release , so Bluefin should have it for the USA. I have to say I am not sure anymore about Metal Build figures. I remember many US sellers did not have the re-issue of Exia to be pre-ordered at all! I thought it was strange. I did get a pre-order a from a US seller. It is a reputable US seller, mind you. But it's been delayed over 2 months! I trust the seller. I just don't know if Bandai sends their inventory to the US. Then, I am not seeing the Blue Frame available in many US sellers. Again, it is very strange for a supposedly wide release. The blue frame is available for pre-order at entertainment earth. I've ordered the Great Mazinger DX and the Strike Freedom Metal Build with no problems. I actually got them to lower their price on both with their low price guarantee

And concerning places to buy it, I'm probably going to grab it at Entertainment Earth since it's a straight tamashii nation release. Free shipping and low price guarantee? Can't beat that. I bought my Strike Freedom MB there, and they still have the Astray Blue Frame up for pre-order.
