there is a toys fair in Japan i guess , one of my friends on Instagram is posting some photos about it, i think i saw a prototype for Daizyujin combined also a weird looking prototype for gaogaigar im not sure about it, maybe its the weapon set or improved version ? Wait what? Another Gaogaigar and so soon? Man, Bandai must be really itching to milk their Brave license before it goes to waste.

Ah, I did not realize that was the old one. I'm pretty sure when SoC Daizyujin is revealed we're going to get a better picture than a thumbnail. Also I hope these are still early prototypes, cause the Tyrannosaurus appears to have no ankle tilts at all, and I can't see any form of combined ankle tilts on the triceratops and sabertooth tiger. Yeah. I am sure they will add these in post. It seems that Bandai in their bid to make it so the Soul of Chogokin line isn't dead, they rushed some of the prototypes out. Other than the concerns you mentioned, there is also the whole Saber Tiger needing some extra articulation in its legs I would like. Like seriously, there is so much Bandai can do even if it is the ability to have the legs bend for pouncing poses.

So yeah, a bit early to tell but people in Rangerboard have been asking where all the diecast will go for SoC Daizyujin.
I made some guesses such as the body and head of the Saber Tiger and Triceratops as well as the Tyrannosaurus legs and the chrome chest section of the Pteranodon.
What do you guys think?

The fully combined Daizyjin look a little chunky. But I guess that is technically accurate to the Tokusatso prototype. It just looks weird to me as I have grown used to the more stylized "real" looking SRC proportions. It looks like the SOC is going full on to give it that "dude in cardboard suit" look and proportionality. Are you talking about the 2nd pic with Daizyujin in the leftmost corner? That is the original 92 mold.

Oh ****! They actually made foldable panels for covering the back of Zyu Mammoth.

Man. It is about time we got a Triceratops that can shoot out its horns and use it to grapple with its target. That is the one detail I haven't been able to get done for even my Legacy Megazord. I cannot wait to see more pics especially with the Dino Tanker and full Megazord form.

yeah.. also seen a few units that came up suddenly and being sold since the SOC came out... still expensive are Genesic and Gaofighgar.. probably coz theres still no report or even a rumour if Bandai will also make these two.. Maybe 5 years down the road for either. Depending on the annual output of future SoCs as well as whatever known Robots Bandai has yet to do and is willing to try.

I for one personally am looking forward to the SoC Voltron as it has that old Godaikin/Chogokin feel of the Popy toy with newer engineering and better proportions to help more match the anime whilst balancing it all for every mode and not just Voltron.
The addition of the individual Lion Weapons are also nice and add that with apparently the accidental reveal of the Go-Lion Attack is possible for the new SoC whilst the Madtoys King of Beasts is stuck with only the usual rocket punch. I would also add that personally, the KOB Voltron head looks a but too big with the Black Lion head that turns into a cowl of sorts makes it look so out of proportion with how big Black Lion's head is.
Add that with some QC issues of the older batch and seeing them with Chachipower's review. Ouch.

Planning to sell my Hasbro Mp10 Optimus Prime to get this bada$$ Mazinger? It will almost be the same price including shipping. Any thoughts if its equally reasonable? I got a question, I only had the Takara MP-10 and am wondering did Hasbro skip out on the diecast for the feet sections as well as the inner stem keeping together the torso of the figure? Cause in my Takara MP-10, those seem to be the only pieces I can see and feel being made of diecast.

Sorry for necro-posting but during my foray into Rangerboard, I figured out a snag said board that I figured out with the Soul of Chogokin Daizyujin. If Bandai America were to for some reason hypothetically re-remake the Legacy Dino Megazord, it would have to fit with the Legacy Dragonzord release as well as Legacy Titanus to an extent. Though it is too early to count the chickens before hatching, I realized that the gloves or gauntlet and chest piece Daizyujin wears as part of the Ultimate Daizyujin formation may not be available for the Soul of Chogokin release. As in the Legacy Titanus parts may not fit with the Soul of Chogokin and really why would it especially if Bandai Japan would not expect to make more releases for Power Rangers Season 1. This may be a necessity to release their own SoC Titanus which may be the same usual price a Legacy Titanus is now and would only get more ridiculous as times goes on. This may be another case of the SoC Star Gaogaigar where if there will be an SoC Titanus/King Brachion it will end up being a much more expensive hassle that not many will buy and will just make your SoC Megazord a brick if you do. An imposing brick but a brick nonetheless. Safe bet is SOC will not be following the Legacy Line or DX's. The Presentation of the Sentai's bots as we saw in SRC is the more likely path SOC will follow. The complete stand alone core robots with a few accessories. I would not expect to see many if any add on bots. Maybe just maybe the Dragonzord as its well known and popular enough on its own. But given the lukewarm reception to the GaoGaiGar add ons, particularly Goldymarg, don't hold your breath waiting on a SOC Titanus. We will see a SOC Gokai-Oh, Shinken-Oh or Dekaranger Robo long before we see a Titanus. Yeah. I am more than okay with having the SoC more or less replace my original 93 Megazord. Since Ultimate Daizyujin is a brick as I have said,I may as well get a Legacy Titanus and have my Legacy collection fit that niche.

I don't know if they will got that far with the carrier yet. If they do it will be astronomically expensive. I think right now they are concerned with getting the megazord out the door, because SOC is mainly concerned about the robot itself, which is the stage that the megazord is currently at. It's a popular combiner so they may have plans to do just this and nothing else. Too many of the sub releases hinge on people owning this toy, so any additional robots from the line will definitely be made or scrapped based on sales of this one. Yeah. All in all, if they do release the other two major mecha of S1 Power Rangers, only then will I consider selling my Legacy molds. Right now, this guy is worth me selling my old 93 release.

If they ever make a SOC Genesic and a matching Goldion Crusher to go for it, that would be insane! Gold Yeah, even I realize a full in scale Goldion Crusher would be an impossibility so we make due with what we can get.

Man. What I would give for an SoC Ideon reissue.
Would save me from spending $300+ for it. On another note, what was the original MSRP for SoC Ideon? Like $200?

I can only imagine somewhere down the line say 5 or 10 years now we get news of Gaogaigar Final SoC. A lot of people really would love the Gaofighgar as an entry and as for me, I would like to see a Genesic Gaogaigar and pretend my SoC Goldymarg is the Goldion Crusher. I would love a SoC GaoFighGar, if only to see how Bandai pulls off turning Gaofar's shoulder thrusters into GFG's chest, cause it looks horrible on all existing GFG that can transform. You mean like how those shoulder plates only really transform by using a stem of sorts attached to a ball joint in each end? Yeah, I do wonder what changes from the CMs version will be made for the SoC release outside of making it more secure, poseable or solid.

Yeah.
This was definitely made for the most hard core of Gaogaigar or Brave Series fans. I personally payed over $300 for this on BigBadToyStore and I cannot say I really regret it as I enjoy having this huge lug on my display.
I personally realized my SoC Star Gaogaigar would look better in a more dynamic pose with just the Goldion Hammer as opposed to the one shown in many photos of this release with the Goldion Hammer on one arm and Gatling Driver in the other. Those ratchets at the leg section of the base SoC are very well made and have been able to keep it aloft with little issue.
The arms are rather tricky as their ratchets are nowhere near as tight for the legs though I cannot complain. This set definitely has some fans but is not for everyone. Big O special add-on set, anyone?

I don't really like the military dark green on Dancouga, but do prefer the "real color" Black Wing over the original release. Source : TAG HobbyIf they were higher on my miles long wishlist and a bit more affordable, I'd probably go for a regular Dancouga and repaint Black Wing. Sorry on the necro-posting but is this version of Black Wing just going to be a limited release? I agree that this new color is better for the Black Wing and for Final Dancouga, I just want to get this guy without having to paint the wings gray.

That wasn't really my issue with Victory, although the bland and repetitive storytelling during the first half didn't help developing an intense dislike towards the series; it was the way the characters were handled. The Autobots were literally just tokens with not one personality among them. The closest thing to an actually likeable character among them is the Multiforce, and they're basically treated as their equivalent of the Dinoforce, a joke. With that combined with the part where the bad guys make up for the heroes' lack of personality in spades, it's almost impossible to not root for the Decepticons instead, so watching them lose repeatedly becomes increasingly frustrating. Not just them losing, but even failing to come off as some kind of a menace that'd justify Star Saber & co's constant tirades about justice and fighting evil and all the usual heroic nonsense. Even Fighbird made me at least root for the heroes solely because it managed to make the villain unpleasant enough! I can definitely say that Liokaiser is the most powerful Combiner Team and one of the most powerful Decepticons of the entire Transformers franchise.
