Thanks, and yes I hit the Gaiking stuff pretty hard this year. Maybe next year will be a Grendizer year. It's just the vintage Grendizer stuff is so expensive! To be honest, I had no idea what a Mazinkaiser was a few months ago. I grew up on Gaiking, Grandizer, Tranzor Z and Voltron. I stumbled on this thread for the Sentinel Maz back in April and loved the look of this thing so much that I sought out the OVA and really enjoyed it! So oddly enough, while the Aoshima might be the more anime accurate, I prefer the look of this more. It just looks mean, tough and less "Halloweenie" than the original design. Weird....yes, but thats my story.

FixedInPost, I have to say your pictures look excellent!! Are your collection pictures somewhere? I'd like to see what else you have in your detolfs. LOL. TJ: Sorry that some loon was stalking your channel bro. Obviously the person doesn't own one or else they could have done a measurement themselves. Thanks! Like I said. I'm fairly new to the hobby so I don't have much. But you can see most everything off my Instagram (which you can link to from the pics here)

A quick question about this figure; can you push down on Kaiser's chest to make his abs look a bit shorter? No not on this one. Though the hips do raise up to make clearance for some extreme leg articulation. I know you can push down on the SRC Big Bird Mazinkaiser to make him shorter or taller in the torso. Maybe that's what you're thinking.

The Sentinel is over 8 inches tall. The GX-01R is about 6.5 (I think). I'll take some pics tonight standing side by side with some SOC's to give a better idea. And speaking of size, it's really odd that the Sentinel is still being sold as only 7 inches all. I think this bad info is a real deal breaker with a lot of people. Gotta wonder who dropped the ball with this and why they haven't updated the info to retailers.

Thanks! And that's the ThreeZero Mazinger taking up most of the real estate.

Finally got some time to spend with this beast and here are my thoughts. Really fantastic at every angle, impeccable and beautifully done. This is my first Sentinel product and I am impressed to say the least. I came close to pulling the trigger on their Gaiking a few times but something held me back. By now we've all seen the pretty pictures so I wont gush over what a feast for the eyes this is. This is solid, not floppy at all. Balances great and is a lot of fun to pose. Some people seemed concerned about parts popping off during handling, specifically the shoulder pieces. It happened a few times with me and it's not a big deal. These parts are on a tiny ball joint AND a rotating joint. So they can pop off. But like TJ said in his review, I think it's intentional so nothing breaks. It reminds me of the SRC Grendizers blades on the forearm, those pop off all the time while I'm swapping out hands. But I'd rather have them pop off than snap off and break. The scrander goes off and on easily for me, although I had to put it back in the box because I just don't have the room to display it. That's really my only gripe with this thing, I wish I had room for it to have it's own shelf. I'm a newbie collector and I've got one detolf and it's filling up fast. I can totally see now how this hobby can break you. I'm already wondering where I'm going to put SOC Voltron this winter. So is this worth the price? For me, sure. It's a solid piece of artwork that I enjoy looking at. Again, first Sentinel product, so I don't know what kind of longevity they have or how this thing with hold up in 10-20 years. But right now, I love it. https://www.instagram.com/p/BKLzWFQgx-m https://www.instagram.com/p/BKLzXy-A8H9 https://www.instagram.com/p/BKMtGeOAG00

This Mazinger is fat. Everyone knows Mazinger Z has trimmed up since going vegan. BTW I own the Three Zero Maz and love it. Everyone is different and we just like what we like.

Just watched your review again and see just what you mean about the scrander. It does sit waaay out there. That is pretty odd from a design standpoint. Amazing it balances as well as it does. Thanks for the word of caution on the waist joint, I'll be extra careful.

I think you're right about that. Though regardless of the waist restriction, the posability on this thing seems to be through the roof. The pictures I've been seeing are unreal. Can't wait to get my hands on it, even though I'm more of a hands off collector. I'll pose it once and into the display it goes. The other aspect TJ wasn't thrilled with was the scrander being angled up. I feel just the opposite though, I think this really highlights the detail put into the thrusters and makes for a more impressive back view. I'll post my thoughts on it as well, after delivery later in the week.

TJ, is the figure itself 2 pounds? Or is that the with box and accessories? Once again, great job on the review. I've watched it multiple times!

Confirmed 21cm height means this photo from early on was not photoshopped after all. Makes no sense to me how this mistake was made. And it's still listed as 18cm.

8.25? Well that explains why it looks so big in the photos I'm seeing. Doesn't explain why this is being sold as 18cm tall. Looking forward to the review!
