Is the Rescue Megazord that cool? I would love to see a picture or two of it.
My list based purely on design:
1. Gao Ranger Icarus 2. Super train Megazord 3. Thunder Megazord. 4. Pyramidus 5. Lost Galaxy Blue ship megazord.

Got a great pic of Rescue Megazord at spacebridge2000.tripod.com/inventory.html under Power Rangers. Just click on the item title for the pic. I think he looks AWESOME in combined mode, and he's also the only Power Ranger Megazord I know of with combiners that transform from vehicle to robot mode. They look a little silly, but it's still very cool. he's also quite large for a Megazord.

I think I may have to bump Mega Voyager to the top of the list. He just came in the mail today and impresses the heck out of me. He looked so dumb in all the pics, but he's got a cool as heck transformation and is awesome in both modes. I'm a major pushover for cool space vehicles and highly chromy bots

My top 5 favorite have to be: 1.) LightSpeed Rescue Megazord - In my opinion, this is the BEST looking Sentai robo. He has that look like he could be the brother of Daimos and a very strong GoDaiKin look and feel. Transforms great, I love this toy! 2.) Turbo Megazord - A Great looking Mega, transformers nice, very nice proportions. He is just too cool...plus you have to love a robot that is transformed from 5 cars/trucks. 3.) Omega Megazord - This has the HIGHEST diecast content of any US released Megazord....LOTS OF METAL HERE! He offeres some interesting transformations and is pretty cool to look at too. 4.) SuperTrain Megaord - He is just too damn big to leave out...basically a transforming JUMBO. Transfoms OK, nothing too out of the ordinary....but he is BIG and almost ALL BLACK.....this is one bad dude...very cool! 5.) Stratoforce Megazord - Very cool and interesting tranformations, this was one of the most surprising pieces I had picked up. The design is neet, and very different from all other Megas....some diecast but not much. Looks cool and FUN to play with.

Amen to 1, 3, and 4 (and thanks for the neat pics!). I've never actually seen the Lightspeed in person, but he looks awesome. I really like Omega's vehicle modes. I think they're some of the highest quality toy vehicles I've ever seen in the US, but I find the robot mode a tad unsatisfying. I love Super Train Megazord. I'm not always a sucker for size (I hate Transformers Fortress maximus) but Super Train looks awesome and has a really satisfying feel and transformation to him. He's super bulky in the best possible way!

I think what did me in for the Omega was just the sheer amount of diecast on this toy. It gave me GREAT hopes that all the new Megas where going to be Japanese Megas repacked for the US (I was WRONG! Hurricanger/Storm Power Megazord is almost completely plastic and no where near as nice as the original Japanese version). The only flaw I found with the Omega was the look of the head...although I thought it was pretty neet how they had it transform for the head...but it did not look as good as it could have. But I do like the proportions, nice quality paint, and weight. I also agree, the Mega Voyager is one nice toy!!!!! I struggled with my #5 spot...but I think the firing fists of the Stratoforce (along with some diecast content and unique transforming) edged the others out for me.

In hindsight, I cannot believe I left Astro Megazord off my top 5. He impresses the heck out of me with a cool ship mode, a SUPER satisfying transformation that doesn't seem possible, and he looks AWESOME in robot mode when he has his sword and shield. Somehow, he reminds me of Bioman, but I can't fully explain why. So my revised top five are now: 1. Mega Voyager 2. Astro Megazord 3. Super Train Megazord 4. Galaxy Megazord 5. Shogun Megazord Quite a change, I know. Pyramidas, Omega Megazord, and Rescue Megazord weren't far behind though.

Just got Time Force Shadow Zord (japanese release, half price in Amenbo.com's sale) this morning and it's just amazing. It's transformation is breath-taking. Can't wait to get home and combine it with my Time Force Megazord. Never thought I'd get into Power Rangers (Timeforce Megazord was the first one I ever bought, last Xmas, and I only picked it up because it was on sale in a small toy shop for £7.99 and I hadn't got a single robot toy all Xmas. Even then I felt slightly embarrassed by it, until I got home and opened the box to find a polystyrene inner. Once I saw that I knew I'd made a wise purchase). Anyway, so while I've never seen any other Power Rangers toys (except the new Abaranger stuff which seems very far removed from these Timeforce toys) I can't compare and contrast them with others, but they are truly wicked toys.

I just don't get the appeal. I had both the time shadow and time force megazord, and got rid of them. I thought time shadow looked ridiculous in robot mode and had an annoying transformation, and that time force, while an interesting idea, just wasn't all that fun to transform, nor was his robot mode particularly impressive. These were actually my least favorite zords I'd ever owned. Not that your opinions are wrong on this. I'm just amazed that we could feel SO differently about them.

Rancemeister - I know what you mean about that sense of embarrassement buying Power Rangers toys - had the same feeling when I started picking up the Wild Forces stuff. Liked the toys too much not to get them though. There's a fair amount of die-cast in them, they're plentiful in toy stores at the moment so you might want to have a look.
Agree with Shaxper though, I don't really get the Time Force megazords much either. I've not got the Time Shadow megazord yet, and do wonder if the two combined woud change my opinion. As it is, the Time Force megazord alone was a disappointment.
Can't pick a top 5 list of megazords - I don't know enough about them. Favourite so far is the black Gourai-Senpuujin - big, lots of die-cast and so many combinations.

Well Shaxper, perhaps I've got some very exciting toys to buy then if you hold these guys in such low esteem compared to the rest of the series. Perhaps if I had paid the original £30 price tag for them (remember, that's about $45 give or take a few) I might feel less inclined towards them, but they were so cheap and yet so heavy and satisfying that I just love them. As a big time G1 TF and Brave series fan I can forgive so many faults like weird kibble sticking out of their backs and to be honest I prefer blockiness to pose-ability any day (I prefer the solid feel). As long as proportions are right (ish), and their head and hand sculpts are good (hugely important to me) then I'm happy. Throw in some wicked die-cast and a good, solid and fairly complex transformation and I'm reduced to a dribbling fool.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with deriving joy from a toy If you like blockiness, heaviness, and the G1 TF spirit though, I STRONGLY suggest Rescue Megazord, Galaxy Megazord, and Supertrain Megazord.

I'm not sure about Rescue Megazord but I love the look of the other two (I'm trying to build up collections of both transforming\combining trains and lions). Any ideas of good places to purchase these boys other than ebay?

ebay's always been my source. As for Rescue Megazord, give it another chance. The individual robots are not all that amazing, but the combined thing is one of the coolest looking bulky/blocky robots I own.

No love for Gouraijin? No love for Sempujin? The Japanese versions of the Ninja Storm megazords absolutely rock, and they're cheaper in some cases than the American releases. Even though Bandai hates us, they were kind enough to release the Samurai Star without making any changes to the original Tenkujin. Not that there was any diecast to strip out, like the other two... What about Gingaioh? That thing's a brick

I've had trouble getting into Wildforce and beyond. Though I appreciate the clunkiness, they have a very different look and feel to them that I'm not used to. I like the simple bricks
