Well, I picked up the new "Ninja Storm" (You all know it as the Hurricanger from Japan) and I must admit that I am a bit dissapointed. With the $40.00 price tag (pretty expensive for a US release zord)...it has surprisingly low (almost none) diecast content. It is only 3 robots that combine...with a major part being the lion (bird head and shark arm). At first I thought the gear spinning shoulder and arm would be neet...but BanDai had done MUCH MUCH better with the spinning gimmicks on Gear Fighter Dendoh toys than this. Know I am sure the Japanese version has more diecast and making this toyu something special...but the US version just does not seem to cut the mustard compared to most the others that they had released lately. IMO

Thanks for the head's up. Incidentally, what Wildforce Megazords would you recommend? They all look disappointing to me, but maybe I need to see the actual toys rather than the boxes.

Well, the original "Wild Force" Megazord it quite nice....really. It transforms nice, just enough diecast to make it heavy....and very well painted. I have the Japanese version, but I am told it is exactly the same as the American one (minus the shoulder decals). But the best of the Wold Force buch has to be the "Isis" Megazord......WOW! The US one has electronic sounds in the Phoenix bird (missing in the Jaspanese version...wow! We get something that they do not) and the Wings are GIGANTIC! Making this very nice to see on display. I usually HATE not having hands that look like hands (I hate that animal head for hands things), but this is forgivable on both these Megazords. IMO

Sorry to hear the domestic version is so bad.
The shoulder gimmick is kinda' lame by itself, but when fully realized with the other Zords and gimmick balls, it's pretty cool.
I recently scored the black version Sempujin and Gourajin set from BBTS. I usually shun repaints of any kind, but I totally fell for this set. For one, it's a 'gift-set'---size of box and presentation (plastic handle, graphics) harken to the days of GoDaiKins. I also wanted a 2nd Gourajin to display in vehicle mode. The black, silver and green scheme is rich and deep. The Sempujin looks very mechy and sinister.
Again, too bad about the US ver. Zords. Fortunately, the Japanese versions are still avaliable.......for now.......

I finally saw Ninja Storm in Target today (the after Christmas influx is always the best ). The megazord looked pretty disappointing, but I saw the miniatures of the other two upcoming Megazords (can't remember the names, but one had "Hurricane" in it) and they both looked far better. I'm looking forward to their DX releases!
