Cool, the more I see Sentai robots the more I like them. Particularly admire the Thunder Megazord there, some interesting Zords there and from the back of the box I like the way they combine. Of course having a Dragon zord helps, can never resist robotic dragons. The Supertrain megazord seems the other star of that lienup, just for his big blocky size. I'll have to wait on getting one though, I'm currently waiting on an eBayer to send me the Gourai-Senpuujin. ;D

I was just going to post a topic about the new addition when I saw this one here. Ed, I'm so glad you appreciate Astro Megazord as much as it deserves to be! You've done a great job paying homage to such an underrated but brilliant toy. And yes, the Japanese version does look much cooler. I'm not aware of any differences in the American version other than what you already posted. Nice job

Thanks Shax! So you agree that the US version got a bright blue plastic and the J-toy a more subdued dark-blue? To me that makes a big difference in look. -Kind of like getting a flat gray corvette vs. a shiny silver one.

absolutely. You're right about the color difference, and it does make the Japanese version that much cooler. Still, I think I would have loved the Kaybee exclusive black version just as much The white sword is a major downer though...
