As a side note, Sentai really dates back to the Japanese Spider-Man movie (even if it wasn't officially called Sentai at that point).

Actually, doesnt the term Sentai go back to "Gatchaman"?

Actually, doesnt the term Sentai go back to "Gatchaman"? I mean the generic style that modern day sentai follows. The combat pattern, with human-sized combat erupting into giant mecha/monster battles, is set there. But yes, you're correct about Gatchaman.
