The Japan releases have tons of diecast, great paint detail, and are great toys. The US releases are pretty weak-- no diecast, missing paint details, and I really wouldn't recommend either of the primary robots. The US release of the Tenkuujin/Samurai Star was actually pretty good, though again, the plastic on the Japanese version is slightly pearlescent and had a few more paint details while the US version isn't quite as nice. I'm honestly not sure whether the Bandai Asia versions are more like the Japanese or US versions; the Bandai Asia Gaoranger toys were almost all the same as the Japanese versions, but they might have shifted over now that they're producing the Hurricanger stuff.
Definitely stay away from any HK knockoffs, they're terrible quality.
For some PR series, the US versions are pretty close (Mega/PRIS, GogoV/PRLR), but Hurricanger's not one of them.

And they're not really worth the $49.99. You'll be disappointed. The Japanese releases are a way to go. Plus combining the two robos,Senpuujin and Gouraijin along with the little Furai Maru, give you a really, really heavy bot(were talking around 3-5 lbs),GouraiSenpuujin.

depends, Japan version maybe around US$80-100+ each, HK release are US$40-50+, the main difference is in the side of the box, it says Bandai Asia instead of all japanese text for the HK release.

Get the asian version you will not be disappointed. The america version got no love with metal or paint. If they could get away with not paniting some part thats what they did
