. . . Wolkaiser? I already decided I didn't want to pick up the US version of Magiking, but I wouldn't mind grabbing this bad boy! Please excuse me if this is a complete noob question, but I'm kind-of out of the loop on sentai/Ranger toys. I mostly just like the giant robots, but I have to admit I'm not up on the shows.

It's undecided whether there's going to be a US Wolkaiser.. so I bought the Sentai version. I highly recommend him!

And if you can get one, Saint Kaiser kicks, too!

Does the american saint kaiser lose out on much paint? I know Magiking has lost a lot of paint (a lot more than the previous releases I think) so i'm wondering if that's the same? I might get the japanese version or wait for the american version.

they are $40 most places, but occassionally Target sales them for $25...that is why i buy first site, hold the receipt, then use it during the sale

If the US gets the Saint Kaiser, then yes. The US versions gets stripped of a lot of paint. Most of it is relatively minor, though.

It's not out yet? I saw it in american packaging on a website but could tell much from it.

Beats me. I have still yet to see Wolkaiser released around me. Come to think of it, I haven't yet seen Magiking either. I've seen all the figures but no zords. Weird.

Magiking and Saint Kaiser are out. They're just not releasing them in large amounts, just one or two at a time it seems.
Toys R Us and walmart seem to be the best bets for them. They're between $40 and $50 each.
Magiking is the Titan Megazord (or some such) and is released in a "blister"-window box. It is a large, but thin, box. You can see the zords clearly in it. Really not an attractive way to package, IMO, but you do get a look at the toy this way.
Also, all of the toys are in very generic packaging this year with little information about the toy, or any add on's, on the box. I almost missed the Megazord package because it looked like one of the cheap playsets.

I've seen the Magiking (well, the US version) in the package, and I was actually kinda glad they packaged it that way, since I could see exactly what the different bots look like clearly. I've got this aversion to robot-modes that "cheat" in one way or another: The pink bot doesn't transform any more than one of the old Headmasters and it's much bigger, and the yellow one just has these big flippers instead of hands.
I could forgive these if they were much smaller and necessitated such simplification, but this combiner is fairly large. I'll skip it for otheres I like better.

speaking as an owner of Titan Megazord, he is trully a great toy.

I think the legs look bland cause of the missing paint.

u mean the leg paint on the red zord? well, i would rather get less paint for $25 than complete paint for $70 plus S&H

If Saint Kaiser's Red zord has more paint than Titan's red zord, I'm swapping that out for Saint Kaiser's.

I dunno. I can't get myself to own the US versions of PR stuff as much anymore. I bought the Mezodon Megazord way back for the same reason that Roan had mentioned (save a few bucks...how's a little less paint gonna hurt?) and then noticed there was a LOT of detail lacking. There was no gold chrome, it was missing a lot of colors on the Styke's horns and on the robot's arms, et cetera. I then vowed to never own a lesser-painted PR toy again. But the lower price taggery is always very attractive...

I was gonna get that but the price put me off of it at the time.
