i just bought it today...from exterior appearances, i hate it as much as SPD toys. BUT i know that later, the new toys will be able to combine with MANY possibilities.

falc, it's not even that the design is so-so, but they didn't even bother to give us a version of Daibouken with their usual crappy paint job. They made it more like the Jumbo line-- big, cheap plastic, nearly no detail. Given the fact that they didn't bother to release Wolkaiser/Wolf Centaurus Megazord or DT's Pachycephalozord (name?), don't count on them necessarily following through with all the extras to make the later Megazords.
I'm really glad I have Black Ultimate Daibouken on pre-order. BoA makes the baby jesus cry.

O....M....G... the 2 are not even close to similiar. Just look at the sub. the USA one has flipout hand on the sub, and the circle is broken due to this....and the chrome, and the pieces, and .. it's just not the same at all...AT ALL. the details are not just in small paint apps...they are severe. I agree with you. But i bought mine. dang. well, i guess for $40 it's ok...and i am not as into this series...but DANG. Why would Bandai make a NEW and CRAPPIER version? wouldn't it be cheaper to use the current one, then to retool? was there some safety concern? were there too many small parts on the Japanese version to pass our crazy USA rules for toys?

hmmm, should i take mine back? and send an email to Bandai demanding better quality? or a reason? i still have the package. i would rather have a helio-cycle than this crap-o-zord. i am so disenchanted.

i just sent this email= "it is NOTHING like the japanese version...WHY? was it smart to retool and make a crappy version? i got it...and the little red piece that connects the black car to the red truck..BROKE. the sword does not disassemble. the colors are plain, and lacking many paint details. the plastic is cheap, and feels like i am going to break it when assembling it. Why did you not use the original Boukenger molds for this toy? " to www.bandai.com/support/contact.htmlhopefully they will let me know.
