i got an eMail from Bandai about the new MegaZord from Operation Overdrive:
Dear Skot:
Thank you for writing to Bandai America regarding the new Power Rangers Operation Overdrive DriveMax Megazord. We appreciate hearing from Power Rangers fans of all ages with different perspectives.
While Bandai as a whole manufactures Power Rangers toys worldwide, there are product differences between Japan, the U.S. and other countries. The product lineups are therefore tailored to each market and its audience.
Overall, Bandai America strives to deliver a versatile toy line each year that features tremendous play value and fun, collectibility, and with a wide variety of price points. The DriveMax Megazord was designed with light and sound features, as well as a 30% larger size than the Boukenger Megazord in Japan. The DriveMax Megazord will also be compatible with other Deluxe Megazords released later in the year.
Again, we appreciate your feedback and will keep your comments in mind for the future.
Thanks again,
Danielle Armbrust

MESSAGE:
it is NOTHING like the japanese version...WHY? was it smart to retool and make a crappy version? i got it...and the little red piece that connects the black car to the red truck..BROKE.
the sword does not disassemble.
the colors are plain, and lacking many paint details.
the plastic is cheap, and feels like i am going to break it when assembling it.
Why did you not use the original Boukenger molds for this toy?
