That doesn't even look like a toy, it look like the 1:1 costume. I can't wait until they do a Shadow Moon, a Kuuga, a Faiz...

If you get into the new one, you will instantly get hooked. Then you will fall in the deep hole of Kamen Rider. One my 1-year Old daughter's first word is "Kick" and then she attempts to do the Rider Kick from Kabuto.
Problem with this is then you will get into other shows, the new one, Den-O, Hibiki, Blade, Faiz, Ryuuki, Agito and Kuuga, That will take care of the new or current generation. Then you will wonder about the original.
Kamen Rider the First movie will get you hooked and voila you are working your way through the classics. It is like the Energizer bunny from here on out...it keeps going and going and...

I was thinking of getting hold of an early series/film and a modern one. I've not really looked into it yet, so any suggestions as to which would be good ones to start with are welcome.

I was thinking of getting hold of an early series/film and a modern one. I've not really looked into it yet, so any suggestions as to which would be good ones to start with are welcome. Ah, ok. Well, let's see. I guess the best one to start off with would be at the beginning...so I would recommend starting with Kamen Rider 1. Now, the tricky part is that Kamen Rider 1 and Kamen Rider 2 are seen as "together" as they appeared on the same TV show when Kamen Rider first aired. Also, both have an "old" form and a "new" form. The third Rider "Kamen Rider V3" is also very popular and Iconic. Especially in Hawaii. Along with Kikaider. I would recommend Kamen Rider Faiz, Ryuuki or of course, the upcoming Kabuto. Which I can provide you with. heheh This is a good and informative site for you to learn about the riders both old and new. www.igadevil.com/

I started with the new ones at first. Faiz was excellent, story-wise but Faiz really got the Kaijin's down, the Orphenoch's look awesome. Martial Arts action is excellent, like most of the new ones, From Kuuga on...The early ones Kamen Rider 1 had more of a pro wrestling feel to the action. Which is not bad, per se, just different. Gort in summary, they are all good. You can't go wrong!

Most of the BM/RAH figures are 1/6 scale. I've successfully resisted getting into the RAH line, both because I'd have to totally rearrange my shelving to accomodate 12" figures and because they're so damn expensive. Then again, I was saying the same thing about the price of SICs a few years ago, and look what's happened to my collection...
