So, since the old "Gettin' down with the SICness" thread seems to have disappeared, I thought I'd revive it, as I got my three Hibiki SIC sets last week: Shu! So it turns out that the "flaming drumstick" that comes with the Hibiki Kurenai set just happens to fit in Hibiki's open mouth, so you can replicate his fire breath! Hibiki... SOUKOU! He turns red, and a bunch of Disc Animals converge and form his armor... and voila, Armed Hibiki and his special disc animals. Hibiki and the boys (Godspeed You Black Oni?) jam out with Todoroki on lead guitar, Hibiki on percussion, Armed Hibiki on vocals, Zanki on bass, and Ibuki forming a one-man horn section. A rainbow phalanx of Disc Animals (man, they give you a lot of those things!) and some Ryuki SICs get down to the funky, funky sound. You may notice that my Armed Hibiki looks a bit different from the usual version, which uses the Hibiki body as a base rather than Hibiki Kurenai. When I got them, I had been figuring on using Hibiki Kurenai as the base for Armed to begin with, since it's kind of a boring recolor. Then when I pulled everything out, I found that where Hibiki's chest and back were detachable so you could swap them out for his Armed form's armor, Kurenai was not. CURSE-A YOU, BANDAI! I was not about to be defeated by such nefarious tactics-- I was NOT going to buy another Hibiki SIC just to display him in both regular and Armed form and be stuck with a lameass red recolor. So I dug out my X-acto knife, and after a bit of work, I found out that if you cut along the side seams of the chest, you can in fact take off the chest and back just as if it were the regular Hibiki pieces (HA! HAHA!, I say to you, Bandai!) and pop on the chest armor. Hooray! I'm working on a gallery of my newly expanded collection, which has a bunch more SICs, so more pics later!

Hahaha!! Somebody finally revived the dead SIC thread!! Great pictures Ayakoholic! I haven't been able to obtain the recent SOCs since Akumaizer! So tell us about the built and articulation of the Hibiki series, aer they based on the Ryuki or the Faiz series?!

I also got the Red Hibiki Kurenai. Not really a Hibiki fan, and really don't like the disc animal idea. But thought Hibiki does look different & interesting, so just got the Kurenai version. Didn't even bother taking out the green one (Todoroki?) and the disc animals. Not the greatest release SIC for sure, with the accessories either a bit loose or the joints need a lot of help from superglue. Good for looks still.

hey mpchi, if you ever feel like getting rid of the Todoroki and/or the disc animals, please let me know; I would love to have an extra body for custom work!

Well, I only just got started on that customization project, and my Blade SIC is still a week or two away from arriving, so I finally got around to taking some photos of my SICs: Garo Equip & Prop. I'm not sure if I'm going to get any more of these; they look nice, but the QC could be better. Kamen Rider: The First Movie Realization figures, in the not-quite-henshin pose. Faiz SICs plus some Artworks Monsters, which go beautifully with the SICs. I can't wait for my next batch! Oldschool meets newschool: Kamen Rider 1&2 (w/Shocker Rider in the background) meet various Agitos. (I really wish they'd go back and do SICs of Gills and G3/G3-X.) Generations of Kamen Riders meet in plastic and diecast harmony. More oldschool; KR Black and Shadow Moon battle while Another RX has a Hamlet moment. Various good and bad guys pose. The Ryuki riders, SIC style. Yes, I fused together two Dragredders to make one properly-proportioned one. The band is back together! The heroic Oni of KR Hibiki get together for one massive jam session. Two shelves jampacked with SIC goodness = a big goofy smile on my face.

hi ayakoholic
I can agree on the QC issue with the Garo figures... but I have to recommend to you to get the: Garo Tsubasabito & Kaoru & Kaoru's Ring - Vol. 7 Garo with wings man! just looks so cool; and mine is quite good in handling poses. but forget the ring, probably the worst prop thing I ever saw, but Tsubasabito is well worth it!
and by the way: splendid collection you got there!!!

I just received news from Cybergundam Blog that the SIC Vol. 38 will be Kikaider 01 and Double Machine, but I need some one who can read Japanese to verify this.
Here's the original thread: 5月發售:- SIC Vol.38 Kikiaider01 & Double Machine 7,500Yen ( SIC Vol.38 キカイダー01 & ダブルマシーン 7,500円)

Did you get the SIC KR 1st Movie Realization from Ebay from an HK seller? I noticed there has been a rash of bootlegged or seconds. I have two myself, one boot and one legit and the dead give away is the antennas on both #1 and #2. On the real McKoy the antennas are spiral, also overall the figure quality is much better, on my first set of bootlegs, it fell apart while posing it, the seller was nice enough to exchange it.

Wow, I'd known they existed- but never thought they'd look So Daaaaamn SIIIIIIIIIICK!!! Them figs are friggin Killer!!!! And the setup is really nice, too! Kudos to you; and I say, more Power to you for improvising the armor on some of them. That's the fun thing about figs: if ya can make their parts compatible with other figs of that toyline, ya got yourself a Winner! Thanks for sharing! zozo-Magengar

Magengar, the only caveat with these figures is that make sure you are getting it from a reputable dealer. I got some bootlegs once, and they are no where near the quality of the originals. They break easily.
