ive played most of the metal gear video games and i admit this version is my most anticipated. raiden looks weird and techy. here is a picture from EGM january issue. click to enlarge picture solid snake is much older and the stealth camo works much better if you dont want the old looks. although raiden looks weird he looks awesome on the toy. if i were to choose which of the two to purchase. ill still pick solid snake over raiden. i dont like the looks of the high heels of raiden. and please make the ninja come back.

The high heel does look a bit odd, but doesn't bother me a lot. Just some odd detail I need to get used to. If Snake has an alternate head like the pic you posted, I am all for it. Though base on Medicom's track record, they are not very generous in giving extra heads. From my small collection, pretty much none. The old Snake head sculpt while is not bad, but not as good as I hoped for. MGS3's Snake figure has a better head. Guess I can always swap their heads around. In terms of the ninja, I feel like Raiden is as close as we'll get. You do see the ninja detail all over him, down to the spine thing. Though Frank Jaeger is still the coolest character in MGS universe for me.

has anybody found the pictures of the new "metal gear" from the fourth version? i only saw the smaller bi pedal from the PSP demo 3D video.
anyways. medicom has always been very good at making these figures. pricy but worth it.

I'm actually digging Raiden more than Snake also, I'm somewhat disappointed in the metal jaw and I'm more worried about the full rubber(?) "sneaking suit", it looks fragile and could really limit on posability. Looks like wait and see...

Don't really know at this moment. I hope so too. It would suck if you need to buy a variant figure to get that other head...

Raiden looks really cool. Weird, but in a cool different way. Honestly though, how posable do you think these will really be? Those suits look to be thick so I'm not holding my breath.

guys. see that large bandana that solid snake is wearing on his forehead. i think thats the camo headgear.
medicom also made an aligator camo accesory on their metal gear solid version of metal gear solid 3 so the camo head version is not far behind. hope im right. sorry about my facination with solid snake's camo headgear. it looks cool on him.
based from raiden's looks. mpchi is right. he looked like a cyborg ninja now.
