It's the vehicle from the later series of Gatchaman (I don't think it was ever adapted into any of the English dubs). Pretty rare because I've only ever seen it once before from a seller called "pastperfecttense" (or something) and his wasn't even in-box (but he wasn't selling it at a thousand USD either). This one looks to be amazing condition... is it a good price? I don't know - what's it worth to you if you don't even know what it is?

I've seen it for sale a few times between Yahoo Japan and Ebay. The price he's asking seems fairly inflated. It doesn't come around very often. If I remember correctly it seems I've seen it in similar condition usually for around $450-$600.

Actually the DX Gatchaspaltan usually goes well over $1000.

Some people might ask that much, but at least in the last year or so I haven't seen anyone willing to pay that amount. The couple of times that I've seen Spartans sell was when they were on auction and they've sold for about half that much.
Generally speaking it seems collectors aren't willing to pay as much for vehicles as they will for super robots, even when the super robots aren't as rare.

I'm surprised you said that as all the auctions that I watched in the last 12 months for these ended around $1500 or more.

Then the one listed above is bargain and there are no bids on it! You should 'buy it now' for $1200 and then sell it for $1600 and make $400!
Ok, just kidding.
What can I say? I guess you've been following these closely so you might know better than I do?

Those are not ur DX or ST verison. In fact, they are like the lower end version of the Spartan. I think he asking too much for it.

Actually, I believe its the Big Scale Base. I think its all plastic, but a pretty large scale. They are pretty rare, and usually sell for quite a lot (actually, the seller asks for quite a lot, but they rarely sell).

the gatchaspartan can be seen in the badly cut english translated series "G-Force" When G1 stands on the prow with his energy sword it can cut through anything...like the fiery phoenix. I've had about two of these come thru the old store in the 90s but it was few and far between and in this city it could've been the same one.

Not something I'd pay that much money for BUT everyone is different.....there's something a little too plasticy about it for me and the box art seems a little bland.
