I'm no real fan of any of the Kamen or Masked Rider, or what's called "henshin" series, but It's only been a day since I bought my first SIC (Super Imaginative Chogokin) toys, and I am INSTANTLY hooked!!! The detail and poseability on these things blow any other possible contenders out of the water! Diecast swords/lances/batons, armor, shields, and overall bad@$$ looks make my first two SIC 2 packs a real worthy purchase! Now that I've had a taste, I am looking forward to getting the rest of them. I'm planning to start with the newest SIC, the Kamen Rider ZO & Dorasu and the Kamen Rider Ryuuki sets. They are awsome display pieces and wonderful to play with! Time to "Get down with the SIC-ness!!!"

Sweet stuff, Omni. I've so far resisted getting into the SIC line mainly because I can't afford to, and I'm running out of cabinet space! They look really cool, though. I'm a fan of Kamen Rider... Once I have a bit more income and space, I'll probably follow suit. For now, I'm contenting myself with the smaller and less expensive but still nicely detailed and highly poseable Souchaku Henshin line, as well as the R&M series for Ryuuki (just finished the full set of those).

Thanks man! I've been trying to resist the SIC line for a while now, but since there are no new stuff for my main collection (Macross), I chose to start a new line, and the SIC's were it! I was going to go TF, but pleh! Too much of the same thing.

I read somewhere that the next SIC after Kamen Rider Zola and Tiga, will be Masked Rider J.
Can anyone confirm, and what the heck does this Rider J look like?

There is no turning back man! You are gonna get SIC!!! ;D
I tend to stay away from the more modern Kamen Rider designs (Ryuki, Agito stuff), but have been really into the more traditional Kamen Riders, Kikaiders & Inazuman, even the early ones when they are just slightly poseable statues with a stand. Very nice stuff. And the ZO & Doras set is awsome. Good luck on the older stuff, as they are hard to come by. HLJ might still have a couple re-release on Black & Shadowmoon in stock. Better act fast if you see them. They worth like $80-90 a piece at one point after they got sold out.

My toy supplier can still get the Shadow Moon, Black RX, and Another Shadow Moon for me.
And yes, I love this stuff!!!
I just hope they make Kamen Rider Femme..... possibly the only female Kamen Rider there was.... or.. maybe female renditions of the Kamen Riders... that would be SWEET!!!!

You know what, one of the Kamen Rider Agito set actually has a female body part. ;D Vol.19 I think. Can turn Agito into a female Agito. Looks better than the male form actually. See if you can hunt down that one.

I don't have any SIC figure but I like the SIC version of this Shadow Moon....... Can anyone give me a brief review on this SIC (Vol.17)? BTW, how tall are these figures in general? 5" - 6" tall?

Cool Shadow Moon! SIC figures, at lest the later versions are all 8 inches tall, with superb articulation. You're right, the Shadow Moon, Another Shadow Moon and the Black RX are my favorites. Can't wait for KR Zola and Tiga though.

Shadowmoon is very cool, but it belongs to the earlier batch volumes that the articulation is still not as good. Nothing like the later Ryuki series. It still has double ball joints in a lot of places, but the range is quite limited still. Enough to hold variety of cool poses, but don't expect Microman poseability out of these. SIC line has never been emphasizing on articulation. Its more on the sculpt, detail, and material. Shadowmoon & BlackRX both volumes are very good buy, and great to display these nemesis/brothers side by side. Very nicely made. Though occasional small armor parts might get loose and fall off. Like the small black pieces that covers ShadowMoon's pelvic area & his butt. Comes off once in a while if you fiddle with it. But great figure overall. The new ZO & Doras set is great too.
Shadowmoon was one of the missing piece in my collection, and I've waited a couple years until they finally re-release it recently. ;D

I believe the SIC Rider & Cyclone was recently re-issued as well. It's nice, but with it being out of scale, and a tad pricier than the regular two packs, I'd get the two packs instead.

Rider 1 & Cyclone Set is in scale, if you are talking about the size. The bike is very nice, with nice engine & exhaust details & some diecast bits in there. But wasn't as impressive in terms of overall design when compared to Kikaider's Side Machine & Hakaider's bike. However, I am very unimpressed by Rider 1 figure. It lost a lot of internal details (removable chest, diecast ribs, diecast heart) from the earlier statue version, and the joints of the knees & ankle are horrible. Either they are so loose dangling if you hold the torso, flopping around, really hard to keep him standing, or knees popping off when posing it riding the bike. My least favorite figure out of my entire collection, while the earlier Rider 1 statue version is very cool.
Hakaider from the Hakaider & Bike Set has similar loose joints, but at least it retain the opening chest & the diecast "Evil Circuit". Overall design is better too, and the bike is just AWESOME! Very very cool bike. ;D

Well put me down for a Shadow Moon SIC as well. I had an old Hakaider (released in the US 2 years ago as "Studioworks"), he is very nice, and after hearing you all praising this line (specially Omni) I have decided to give in.
Lets see whether I can survive bankruptcy or not...

Finally got my first couple of SIC figures, I haven't opened the "Shadow moon & Black" yet as my attention is fully focusing on this awesome "Hakaider & bike" set, it includes a very cool-looking bike......I just have a tough time putting the head cover back on after placing the brain in his head. Now I think it's a good idea to leave the brain in the head unless I find out a trick to do this easily. This set looks so cool that I even want to purchase a second set , now I can feel this SIC-ness.....

Don't get too carry away try posing Hakaider riding the bike by constantly bending the knee joints over & over. They wear off and get loose very easily. If you are not aware of that, they will flop a lot and have hard time standing. So be careful with that. They improved a bit on later figures, but still need to be careful with them. Don't bend the knees way too much when you want your figure stays solid.

Thx for the tips, didn't know that, I have only taken the bike out once until now, have to find room to put this figure & bike, right now it's still sitting in the box. You are right, the shadow moon has limited posing style, yet, still a very cool figure.
