I'm totally torn with the Akumaizer 3.
I let go of my SIC's to get the LOB Dunbine figures because I feel they are more to my mecha tastes, but the Aku 3 are just soooo bada$$ looking!

Great pics of Aku 3!
Since you have pics, I guess you have already. Can you tell me how the articulation is on those bad boys?
Are they Ryuuki type articulation, or Black RX type of articulation?

hmm articulation level? i'm not sure how to put it... but it's definitely on par with any of the latest SICs. Gabura even has extra articulation in the fingers to allow the axe and morningstar handles to fit in easily. on top of that, Iberu and Zabitan has extra articulation in the pointed ends of their shoes (toes).
the hakaider SIC04 is not without a bike. the one with the bike is SIC11

just to add, i think SIC31 is excellent value. the figures are solid, have great articulation and the sculpts are excellent. also, the joints are tight. Gabura alone is heavier than any other SIC i know. the only cut that Bandai did for this is putting less gokin into the package. nevertheless, i'm pleasantly surprised by the akumaizer 3!

Hello Guys, very nice to meet you all. To Lanatir, the pictures of the Aku 3 rocks man! BTW do you guys notice, starting with the Faiz series, the SIC has been shrinking? When I compare the height of my Black-RX with the Faiz Blaster, there's at least half an inch difference between them! Tell us about the Aku 3, whether they are in size with the later Faiz or older SIC (the tallest one I got is SIC-11 Hakaider & Bike). Also, tell us about the die cast content of the Aku 3! Are they limited to weapons only, or are there any bits of die cast (such as knee /elbow pads or guards) on the figures? In the prototype for the SIC Hibiki, seems to be a fair amount of die cast in the chest belt (don't know what it's called...) Check the picture of the prototype here:

there are some bits of gokin on the figures themselves e.g. at shin and bits on the arm as well. as mentioned, for this set of 3, the gokin content is really minimal. they are taller than the height of shadow moon... and Gabura is the biggest SIC figure I have.

Thanks for the info, Man!
Even though the gokin content is minimal, I'm still looking forward to obtaining them. Also good to hear that the size is back to the 8" size. Around where I live, the Aku 3 set was not greatly received, the local collectors are more looking forward to figure releases of newer shows such as KR Ryuki or KR Faiz...
Personally, I' m looking for figure releases from more classical shows, such as the Kyodain Bros, or Ninja Arashi. A full articulated Kikaider 01, Kikaider 00, and Inazuman would also be greatly appreciated (also KR X, Sky Rider, and unreleased riders from the Agito series - Gills and G-3).
I think we should start a thread about what SIC that we want to be released next...

theres a reissue of Haikaider??? sweet I'm so tempted to get that. Did it ever come with a bike or something? or is that different edition? The reissue is SIC Vol. 4. This is a single figure, no bike. The Hakaider and bike you're referring to is SIC Vol. 12. A lot of people don't realize the Hakaider fig in this volume is actually different than the one in Vol. 4. It's basically more articulated - like a GI Joe fig, if you will, whereas the Vol. 4 fig is more of a static piece, with minimal articulation.

Kidchuckle, actually the Hakaider and Bike set was released earlier in 2005. I was one of the lucky ones to obtain it... Although the figure is more articulated than the early SICs, the articulations is minimal, most were ball joints... way sub par compared to the Ryuki SICs. And mine comes with a very loose torso joint. However, the sculpt is really tight! Get it if you have the chance!
