Here's my gd45 that I just bought last Sunday. The heft feels good and the details are very well done for a figure that was made more than ten years ago.

Dude I would jump for joy if I found one of these: Bullmark BP-17 Silver/Brown Gojira/Godzilla Do-It-Yourself Kit (auction photo) - Read more: robotjapan.proboards.com/thread/10845/diecast-godzilla-toys#ixzz2yvRKwv12I have always wanted the kit version. Man if anyone has one for sale let me know, or if they know where 1 is. I have the already put together one. I just need the kit version for my collection.

Congrats Grave! I have the chrome one and I love it.
I returned the SHO monster one because half of it was PVC and only chest and feet were diecast..... It smelled bad. The sculpt was top notch though.

The sculpt was top notch though. Thanks I feel that a mechagodzilla figure should be at least be made of diecast. The sculpt and articulation on the monsterarts version is great but the price put me off and since the seller gave me a good price that is less than the monsterarts version I'd be crazy not to buy it lol. I'll probably be getting the monsterarts Godzilla instead since I need kiryu to have his arch enemy, but that I still want to get the chogokin 1974 Godzilla and the chogokin Gigan first.

I got the 1974 and I highly recommend him as a companion piece. Real nice with good diecast content.
But on the other hand I heard LOT of bad things abut Gigan..so I def recommend checking out some reviews on him. I had few chances at AE for real good price but I passed them all..

That sounds bad about Gigan, what would be the acceptable price for him? I saw someone selling him for $80 and I don't know if it's a good price. Also there seems to be very few reviews out on Gigan. The 1974 Godzilla on the other hand is a sure buy for me if I get the opportunity to find one here. I like the funky old school look of that Mechagodzilla. I did notice that the monsterarts kiryu is a bit thinner compared to the chogokin version which makes me favor the chogokin version more. Makes me sad that I didn't get these guys earlier when they were released.

I own the Gigan and its fine. No issues with it. I would not spend a huge amount on it, but $80 is probably a decent price. I don't recall exactly. Perhaps over a grand each? Stephan would likely remember.

@kingboy I'll probably try haggling a bit for that figure lol. I really love the GD45 and makes me want to get some of the variations like the GD57. The black one looks pretty cool too.

I saw one variant going low as 40 at AE...used of course. Type gigan or it might be under chogokin banner.. If you don,t mind gambling a little you might want to give it a shot.
I say gambling because although AE list the item as A, I got a preowned toy from them that stunk of stale cooking Odor and cigarette. And another "A" one with hands that had PVC Styro chemical interaction damage....

Cool pickup on that MechaG, gravewolf. I enjoyed having that version for a while, but never got around to picking up the black version.
Oh, and MAN! looking at that 1st page of this thread again, brings back old auction hunting instincts, LOL!
And...I can't believe there has been a photo-hole in the Bullpet Goji listings. I think I can help with a pic of the very much "confirmed" version of light green, with purple/pink spray down the spine. I have to get a pic of three variants dancing together, darker green with silver spine / brown with silver spine/ light green with purple spine.

It's nice to see this string of mecha-Gs being fairly available and with prices that are decent. Excellent run of pieces.

I'm surprised these chogokin mecha-g's are much more affordable compared to the monsterarts version. I'm still looking for that black mech-g and the 1974 version locally. Heck I might get the other variants too if I'm lucky enough to find them.
