Any one familiar with the Bandai Super Scale Godzilla 1994 and the current market value of the Item? I have the two aoshima masers and need something extra large to go with them. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Good luck! Expect to pay a lot. Those hardly ever show up and always bring a hefty final price. Not sure what range currently, but the last one I saw went around 1700usd. On the other hand, there are other large scale G toys that you could probably find much cheaper. There are some really well done KOs out there. You can often find them in comic shops for reasonable price. The one pictured here was fairly inexpensive. I happened into a local shop in SF and they had it sitting on the counter. Not quite the 25" inch height of the Super Scale, but fairly large at 16", head to tail is 27". There is also the Mauri RC Godzilla. These are more common and can be had somewhere in the range of 500-1000usd, depending on condition. There are 2 versions; original 1954 Gojira, and 1989 Godzilla from * VS Biollante (pictured below). These stand around 20" tall and are about 37", head to tail. There is also a Mothra Larva out there. I wish the company had done a MechaG or Ghidorah. Having a really big RC version of Ghidorah would be killer! If you are hard set on the other, keep up your vigilance. You may find one out there.

Another to keep an eye out for is this Kaiyodo kit. These were just re-released and some vendors may still have them on the shelf. Retail was around 1000usd, but probably more at this point. These stand around a meter tall. Here is a link to the HLJ page with a pic.

Hey, what would be cool to see: Remote-controlled Mothra worms! Them two caterpillar grubs that spun silk in battle, remember them?
...yeah, set one on the bed at night, and RC it to crawl under the sheets towards the girlfriend.........<eh-hm!>
.....ok, I gotta go see a Shrink.

Actually, I've seen a couple of Jumbo Godzilla on ebay last year it went for about $750.00 - $800
loose, no box, but honestly who really plays with the box anyway.
I couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a mere jumbo G. so I opted for the Marui Biollante remote control. That was actually cheaper at $658 including shipping.
The Marui stands at about 24" scaled at 1/160

The Marui stands at about 24" scaled at 1/160 ?? Check again, lurker. If yours is 24", then mine is short by 4 inches. No fair counting the wheels and dust!

Thanks for the info. Now my other question is how tall does the godzilla have to be to be in scale the 1/148 scale maser?

Actually the Maser is @ 1/48 not 1/148, so for Godzilla to be in scale to that you're talking 4-5 feet tall Sketcher, yeah you are right, the Marui stands close to 20 inches, it does fits really well with 1/150 N-Scale building though close enough at 1/160. I even use the Votom Micro Scaled figures @ 1/144 displayed against it. For some reason I though it was bigger, wishful thinking perhaps, still more bang for the buck than the Jumbo IMHO Oh Its probably a given, but i failed to mention that the Marui has a nice "realistic" rubber skin where as the jumbo is just plain hard plastic/vinyl?

Man, that Gaira looks hideous! <LOL>
Isn't that beast one of the Gargantuans? ("Battle Of The Gargantuans" 1969* Toho)
The scene which stuck in my head was the scene in which the evil gargantuan twin bit a lady's head off and spat it across the city. ;D
*I'm not correct about which year Toho released that film.

The one on ebay is the one I'm pondering on, but the seller wont respond to emails so I'm not really sure on what his definition of "good" condition means.

Nice price. No shipping listed, and we all know what can happen there if you don't have that before buying.
As far as "good condition", unless it was abused, it's probably fine. It's just a big vinyl toy. Unless the guy left it in the sun or exploded firecrackers in its mouth, it is probably just dusty.
If I was looking for that piece and had the cash, I would grab it, provided the shipping is reasonable.

I didn't know there were different variations of Jet Jaguar. That Godzilla is cool, and those buildings are great. Now you need some Mazer tanks shooting at Godzilla.

Not quite the 25" inch height of the Super Scale, but fairly large at 16", head to tail is 27". Hi sketcher, i think this is the same Godzilla i also snagged from a seller last year. I just want to know what were the clues that this was a bootleg? This is the Bio-Goji right? You see when i was doing some research, it was mentioned in some resource book for all Godzilla related toys is that this was probably a bootleg. But what was strange in the info was that the manufacturer (Concorde) was located right in the heart of Tokyo and was even manufacturing legit Godzilla stuff. I guess i couldn't totally accept that the one i got was a bootleg, considering that it's: a. doing bootleg items in the middle of Tokyo where licensing of products is very very strict, b. Toho's lawyers are scarier than Godzilla, c. and Concorde was still able to release SD godzilla characters one year later (1998 or 1999) I can only deduce that mine is the cheap, vinyl version of the expensive resin kit produced by the original manufacturer. It could have been licensed legally to be reproduced using cheaper material. Just like the anime PVC statues i collect, they have resin versions which are expensive and the vinyl pvc versions which are cheaper. Mine is marked at the left foot with this: "(c) Toho. Toho Eiga" "(c) Concorde" This is somewhat the exact (or similar) one from Paradise released in 1989 tohomonster.blogspot.com/2007/04/giant-bio-godzilla-pro-painted-vinyl_05.htmlPlease let me know your opinion on this. thanks! ;D

I'm fairly certain that mine does not have any markings on the figure whatsoever. That is what leads me to believe it may be a bootleg. I could be wrong though. Anyway, who really cares? Just look at the sculpt, it is a thing of beauty! I'll recheck the figure for markings when I get home from work.

I'll recheck the figure for markings when I get home from work. yeah it's great to look at, even assuming it's a bootleg it's still a very detailed work of art ;D i guess the mentality of most collectors here in this side of the globe (manila) is to frown on bootlegs, that is why i am i guess more conscious on whether my stuff is legit or not. but if one is to consider bootlegs not just as copycats, bootlegs do stand on their own sometimes as unique and even sturdier versions of the original pieces (just like Korean Voltrons) anyway sketcher here is mine, i think i posted this in another thread a long time ago. here it is again: sorry a bit blurry: here's a clearer shot, i doubt Voltes has any chance of defeating Godzilla in a 1-on-1 fight Ultraman versus Bio-Goji
