Just received the SOC Black version. Thought I would take some pics of the team... Great pictures, Sketcher! I could kick myself for not buying the Ark version02 back in the day, and the Popy one is an awesome chunk of metal. What a fine set of Joes!
BTW- is the Godzilla's Gang version metal?

I admit I am a sucker for this character. I don't even know what it is about the robot that appeals to me. Perhaps the nostalgia of watching the shows when I was a kid. So yea, I like this dude. The Godzilla's Gang version was sold by Mattel in the late 70s under an agreement with Popy. The line is somewhat inappropriately named in that all the kaiju were from Ultraman series except Godzilla. Very strange. You like this guy? i am beggining to like king joe, going to godzilla and a little bit of ultraman, soc's dont look appealing to me right now, specially aoshimas toys, i was turned off by the last release of black neo getter(cheapskate company also specially the box, box is not a box, they might as well put gift wrapper on their toys  ). cant wait for the bullmark king joe vers1... all thanks to mikey ;D |

King Joe sure is cool, but he is lonesome without his brother CRAZYGON!!!  I wonder if Bandai will ever give it the SOC treatment as well... }D |

I'd kill to see Windam get the SoC treatment, anything to get more tokusatsu bots into the line.

Either of those two would be awesome. Utom or Sevengar would be cool as well.
Bandai would not even have to make these in the SOC line, they could drop them into the regular Chogokin line and I would be happy.
That, and finishing the Ultra brothers from the GD line would be sweet.

Sweet set-up, Sketcher!
I got my SOC Black version in the other week but I only had time to mess with it this weekend. Nice, but the Ark versions are still my favourite. That said, I'll still need to score the Popy eventually, and there's just something about the Godzilla Gang Joe I've always liked...

Thats just slightly higher than we pay for standard size Bandai vinyls, but you get so much more. Better sculpting, larger size, great box and better paint application. Can't beat that with a stick. Grab his enemy, Ultraseven, and you are in business. I've always loved cheap Bandai vinyl. So when they put these out under their Banpresto line, I had to get them all. I'm slowly amassing an army of these larger scale vinyls. |

So, any place you know that's selling the black version of those vinyls? I picked the gold version for $18 at a con but the guy didn't have any of the black version in stock.
