I'm sure that word has gotten around by now but for those of you who don't know I mannaged to make a pretty sweet score a week ago off yahoojp....that being a Guren Ghost C3..in anycase, you've seen the pics of my collection from the times i posted pics of the Gekiganger and know that my collection is being displayed lined up in 3 rows in a corner of my room on the floor..... as much as I'd lik to be able to have C3 standing with the rest of his brothers I don't think that displaying a jumbo that is one of 6 in the world on the floor is such a good idea...I'd like to be able to make a custom display box for him out of either plexi or glass. The only thing is that my room is fairly well saturated in sunlight throughout the day and I'm worried about him (and eventaully the rest of my line up) getting messed up from the UV rays and everything else that comes through the window.... can anyone point me in the direction of a specific kind of glass or plexi that is good for protecting stuff from sunlight? as of now I'm only looking for this meterial for the C3's box, down the road I'll probably also make panels to put in my windows... Thanks again...

Congratulations on the score! I would go to a local glass store and have them custom make your case. They'd know exactly what you want and be able to order / make it right. Then you should either cover the windows most of the time or get a black fabric cover for the case. Black it out. Now for pictures of the big guy

Yes, that is a real 'Museum' level item! Like Museums, you reduce the level of UV and dust (dusting requires extra handling). That item would probably look good in it's own plexi-box too. Are you able to close the blinds/curtains in that room during the day? Otherwise, you could get a triple pane, 'low E' window installed (expensive). Perhaps a UV coating applied to the window by professionals? No halogen, or florescent lights. Museums go so far as no 'flash'photos, because the repeat flashes over long term will be similar to regular light damage, but not a worry at home, unless you take millions of pics.

Well Luckily my one Aunt showed up for the big family x-mas dinner last night. She used to work in a museum setting up displays and the like( talk about luck eh? ^^()())..I talked with her and she gave me some good ideas about where and how I could get this thing's box made....I'll probably be looking at around $100-150 if i was gonna make an all UV proof plexi box for it...thanks for the helpfull tips on this end as well guys!

The image link didn't work.
Fascinating thread, here. I know absolutely nothing about the piece though. Were there only six originally made? Why? How did you get it and what did it cost you?
