Dave,
I'll have to dig up the card to the mexican dairugger... i think it says where it was made. Maybe we can even get a manufacturer out of it!

Josh, thats very interesting to me that thats not the one you saw on ebay. Was the one you saw proportional in size to this one? I always thought about painting this guy when I had him, but decided to leave him alone, for "artifactual" value, if there is such a word. I'm glad I didn't. Can you describe the colors on the one you saw? Was it painted in the traditional Dairugger paint-scheme? I always wondered if this guy hinted at the possibility of a full-size Dairugger knockoff machinder.

it was the exact same toy, only molded in different colors, and no paint. More of a dark purple and pink color scheme...
I wish i saved a picture...

I didn't pay anything for the toy, it was a trade that brought it to my possession. ;D
And I'm glad you never painted it Matt. I like things to be as they were created even if (or maybe because) they look awful.
If this did indeed come from Mexico, it might very well be possible there is a full size jumbo version. I know it's long been rumored that there are two more jumbos similar to the Mazinga/Reideen one I have (I think one was supposed to be similar to Voltes, but that might be wrong) and this is certainly about the same quality.

I still say that there needs to be a toy expedition to Mexico someday...I mean people are always going to japan, or Hong Kong or Taiwan, but when's the last time you heard of any mexican adventures? Who knows, there might even be KO villians floating around down there... I dunno, the thought of finding a pink garada amuses me to no end......

My friend went down to Mexico a couple of years ago but didn't turn up any cool robots. He did however bring me back a book called "Muerte! Death In Mexican Popular Culture" as well as scoring an autographed poster of the Blue Demon, iirc. So it wasn't a wasted trip...

Pics are below. I brought him up to Josh's house Friday and in showing it to him, found out two things: 1) This is NOT the same toy he saw on eBay a few years back. The sculpt may be the same, but the colors are much different. Which means we gotta be on the lookout for another version. 2) This is a scaled up version of a bootleg Josh has that he believes may have originated in Mexico. The only difference is that the smaller one comes with a sword that can be placed in the hand and I mean IN the hand. It goes straight through the top of the hand and out of the palm underneath. Dear God!! Throw it away hurry! I had one of those, and it destroyed all my real Popy Voltrons while I was out on vacation. Look at it.. just waiting.. waiting for you turn your back so it can slash one of your genuine robots. lol That's the ugliest thing I ever seen. Theres nothing you can do to make it look cool. The mold is extremely ill made. Almost looks like it was made of wax that you'd get in those museums for a quarter. You know.. the ones that are made in front of you and comes out burning hot. Do they even have those machines anymore? hmm.

Hello, new to the site in hopes that I might be able to get an answer.
I've got my Voltron site out there, and I have tried to get a complete list of all character names from DXV, but I've got one missing.
Space Marshall Graham.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone can let me know what the name is for DXV. Thanks.
