Hello! I am new to this list, but have been collecting Japanese Monster, and Robot Toys for quire a few years now. I have a question a Grendaizer Popy Toy's possible price. It is the Grendaizer U.F.O. DX Toy. It has a mint box, and is complete. Looks like it may have been on display out of the box, but otherwise it looks to be in perfect shape. The person who wants to sell it is asking $200. Is this a decent price? I have seen toys like this one go for more, and less than this amount before. Any help would be appreciated greatly. If there is a way to post pictures of this toy here on the list please let me know.
Thanks!

Hi,
they are 3 different versions of Grendizer Dx with spazer. The price may vary depending on the version. 200$ is a quite good price for a MIB Popy Grendizer Dx.

Thank you so much for your help. Do you know what the other variations of this toy are? Any info would help me greatly. There is a picture of this toy on this website in the gallery., but it's box is damaged/dinged up. Thanks again! Zilla1

I think you mentioned seeing this version: www.robot-japan.com/GA37.htmIt is the first due to the lettering on the back and also the missile launchers. They are in the saucer body in the earlier incarnations according to my research. Second versions got missiles that fired from the wing pods. They also had the back stampings on the robot removed. Your quoted price would be a steal. Get it if the product is legitimate and not too beat up. Ask if it has been restored and ask about the red "V" in the chest. Often they get retouched and chip after even a bit of play. Ed

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! Your help is much appreciated. Were those other pictures on this site as well? I missed seeing them when I was looking at the gallery. The Grendaizer Toy is next to mint itself. The Box is in beautiful condition also. I will grab it ASAP!
Thanks again! Kevin (Zilla1)

Cool, keep us posted.....and get us a picture too. P.S. The funny thing is that vintage price would be less than some DX s.o.c. Grandizer sets

To be more accurate, the picture Ed has posted is a mixed between two versions. the Grendizer is a 1st version because of the "embossed" writtings on its back but the Saucer is a second version with yellow missiles... here is a pic of the very 1st version. the box is different the Grendizer has embossed writtings and different feet. the saucer has ONLY one button on its back and the opening mechanism is different.

Ahh, thanks Yann!! Finally, an afficionado that can help my confusion..
So the Grandizer robot is a 1st version. But the Saucer is a version1 and 1/2 if you will. -A redesign of the missile-in-body design, but with a redesigned latch.

Ed,
As you said, your Saucer is a transition between the one seen on my picture and the Popy/Mattel"shogun warriors" with firing missiles from the wings.
