Hi, a pal of mines obsession with Jumbos must be rubbing off on me and I was looking on Ebay to see what was around and what is average money to pay when I came across this - What is it? cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=17017&item=5949443364This would blow my budget for years, it's not an average Jumbo, is it? Thanks for any help.

I do remember reading about the Zargon once.
It's obviously Gaiking-based, but as I remember, it was an attempt to breathe some life into a then-old toy line by motorising it, and renaming it as Zargon.
It is a genuine toy, not a knockoff or some other kind of obscurity.
They're not hugely rare - I've certainly seen a couple on ebay - and I reckon that 199Euro price is about right.
That one does look like a good one.
There are far more knowledgeable JM experts on this board, so I'm sure you'll get a more definitive response than mine!

Thanks for the help.
I am just starting on Jumbos and have only a small collection of other Japanese character toys but i hope to change that soon - a site like this certainly helps.
Again, I feel silly for not reading the price properly (see Woops, check that price again).
Cheers.

Matt Alt did an article on these at ToyboxDX. See the link below: www.toyboxdx.com/alt.htmlIts much smaller than a jumbo, and I've seen them go for much less than that price. Usually you can get one for $150 - 200 USD MIB. They seem to be quite common.

Thanks for the link, fun and very informative.
Only problem is now I might find myself looking more for these " jumbo cousins" than the real thing.
Cheers.

Popy made a Gaiking and a CombatlerV. The Japanese versions are far better than the stripped down US releases. I have them both and they rock.

I didn't know the American releases were different than the Japanese versions! What are the differences?
