Hi everyone!!! I'm from Venezuela and have some information about a line of Jumbo Machinders made in Venezuela Here's the history: In the late 70's a licensed company (I don't know it's from Mattel or from Popy) called "Famosa" made a lot of Jumbo Machinders. They aren´t knockoff, but licensed original toys. They made Mazinger, Gaiking, Getter Dragon and Daimos. For some unknow reason they reuse the molds from Gaiking and Daimos to form a "new" robot. I own two of them, one is in excellent shape but the other is really bad, with some parts missing, like one horn and the fists. The body is from Gaiking, but the legs are from Daimos. The colors are totally different, the body and head are red, the arms black, the fists silver, and the legs look like Voltron, one blue and the other yellow. I think the venezuelan machinders are absolutely unkown in the market. From the mentioned above I only left Daimos. All of them came in a Mazinger Z box, there are only one box type for all of them. Here's the link for the pictures: espanol.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/figurasdeaccion/album?.dir=/167fI hope you enjoy the pictures, and if you have any question let me know. Also, if anybody have some information about those toys, it'll be welcome.

Great discoveries! New Machinders from around the world keep popping up all the time it seems. These ones are almost exactly like the "Nacoral Robots" produced in Spain in the '70s (with exception of that hybrid one).

That Gaiking knockoff is great. Totally insane, but great. Very cool discovery. I had no idea this line existed. Just when you think you've seen it all...

But the hybrid Gaiking isn't a knockoff, it was made by the licensed company "Famosa", they just repaint some parts from other robots to create a new one in the same line.

Well, maybe knockoff was a bad choice of words. Uhm, that Gaiking "compilation of random parts" is great! I can't get over the red torso.

Is the hybrid jumbo pictured on the box at all? If not, is it possible that one had a different box?

The red Gaiking isn't pictured on the box, maybe because it was made later than the box. It comes in the same Mazinger box.

Hi, New here, I'm Abe and love the jumbo machines. Just a quick question have you ever seen the JUMBO HE MAN?? I saw it once on ebay and didn't get it. Apparently In South America, I believe Venezula or Argentina, the original MOTU He-Man was Duped into a Jumbo blow molded figure. I just ask be I have never see one again.

I've seen figures like that several times. I think they are about 18" tall iirc and made in Mexico. I know I've seen He-Man, Skeletor and Mum-Ra from the Thundercats at least.

Did you ever decide to sell them? Now that there is a consensus, what prices have they been "guessed at". (if you don't mind me asking). I'm always curious, thanks. Ed

Hi, indeed there's a Jumbo He-Man, also made in Venezuela. It measures about 18". It's made in hollow vinyl (I think) . The plastic is similar to the other machinders, but I'm not sure it's the same. I have one of them, you can check a gallery of pics here: espanol.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/figurasdeaccion/album?.dir=/32eaThe armor and the paint scheme are custom made.

Ed Hi, maybe you know about the MIB Dragun I already sell to jumbotom, check it out: p216.ezboard.com/fcooljapanesetoysfrm1.showMessage?topicID=1531.topicAlso, soon I'll sell (probably on Ebay) a loose Gaiking (original colors) and a loose exclusive Red Gaiking (the one in bad shape), both of them from Famosa. Stay tuned!!!
