Hey, Well, I went to the live auction and it was very interesting. I saw a boxed variant of the King of Kings jumbo which even came in a different box.
I was quite impressed but then, when the auctioning stopped for a break the auctioneer introduced himself to me and even showed me photos of his collection.
Wow- so is a 38+cm long car made of jumbo machinder shampoo bottle plastic complete with a large mazinger behind the wheel (and also behind the laser guns on the bonnet) a jumbo machinder???
He also showed me some pix of his JM Go-Lion which has Korean factory issued Hangul decals on it WOW. and he showed me some old newspaper adverts for the POPY issue Korean grandizer with the white skull chest!
That's 4 Kor JMs I'd never seen or heard of before.
I'll paste a pic of the alternate King of Kings box tomorrow.

That's awesome, I can't wait to see the pic. Is there any chance you can get pics of the Golion and Grendizer?

It all sounds interesting. A "white skull grandizer" sounds interesting. Sounds Gaiking-ish.

Hey, I blurred the photo of the King of Kings alternate- I guess it was kinda like buck fever...I was so excited I didnt hold the camera still So, you'll have to wait until next months meeting- I'll take some more pix then because the box is on display at the venue. Alex in Seoul

Well, My Korean auctioneer friend here sent me these pics... Yep `King First' is the variant of King of Kings. And I'd be quite safe in saying that collectors outside of Korea have absolutely no chance of landing that boy these days- he's got a Taekwon V head That means he's the largest Korean made Taekwon V-ish bot ever made!

Very interesting! The main question for me is the height of the Grandizer and the Gokaizer/Bio-Robo. The Grandizer doesn't look like the Jumbo Machinder sculpt and seems smaller than a standard, 60cm Jumbo. Tough to tell with the Gokaizer/Bio Robo as well. Although that one looks like a picture from a collection. Any chance to ask about the height?

Tom, you're right! Those 2 didnt come up to height expectations- my mistake. But, this one sure does.

Wow, that GoLion is great. I gotta get one someday. Those lion leg decals are totally in the wrong place, although by the shape of them, it looks as though they are in fact supposed to be there.
I find it a bit funny that even the alternate box for King of the King is still a big box. I sort of expected the second one to be a smaller on like the Robot Factory style.
Did you post a pic of Grendizer and Bio-Robo though? I'm not seeing anything.

Sasha, I hope I didn't talk you into removing the pics of the Gokaizer and Grandizer by questioning their size. They're still worthy of being on this thread!! Please do see if you can get a height measurement on the Gokaizer if it is indeed from someone's collection.
Thanks for these. They're awesome.

Hey, Well- the pair of them (the white skull chested Grandizer and Go-Kaiser) don't even crack the 30cm mark I played with the shots to say that they were indeed jumbo's, when they werent even close. I don't want to be the source of dissinformation. The Go-lion here is 60 cm tall though! Alex in Seoul
