So I am trying this on some Mactac Starliner paper. The results are less than optimal. I have tried messing with the various types of paper settings in the print driver (Epson 1270 Photo Stylus) I have tried different saturation levels etc. I think the paper is bunk. Can someone suggest what they have used with a modicum of success? Thanks!

I've tried it with paper too and it sucks. Aren't there plastic sticker sheets you can buy that are for "making your own stickers", or maybe clear label sheets? It seems I remember seeing something like this.

Here are my tips:
1) If you are using an Epson printer, stick with their product. Right now, they only carry the Epson Matt Adhesive back 8 1/2" x 11" paper.
2) I find that printing it on a vivid setting works best. If the color is slightly off, you may have to select Color Sync to your monitor if you wish to match what is on your screen (this works best on a MAC). I don't know what that would be on a PC.
3) After you print it, let it dry for 5 minutes and spray with Krylon Glossy Coating Spray. Then let it dry for about an hour before you work with it.

I've used HP full sheet labels, and they worked very well. I think I bought them at Office Depot or one of those type stores. I printed these on a high end color laser printer, so it probably will look better than what most others will be able to produce, but I guess that it will look fine on an inkjet. But, as Voltes V says, you MUST spray it with a coating spray. Otherwise, any slight bends of the sticker sheet (like to remove the backing) will destroy the sticker (the ink will come off in the bend). Try not to oversaturate it either, owtherwise you will end up with blotches.

Thanks for the tips guys. I think I will take these to work and use the laser printer on some different paper. This old Epson is getting tired anyway.
