Here is a company producing Aphrodai A and Boss Robot in jumbo machinder size. The main difference with the vintage is that these machinders are like microman-everything is interchangeable because of magnets. Here is the link.. www.emanium.com/

I have the Aflodai. They come well packaged nicely painted and sculpted. They are a resin not a polyethylene. The magnetic joints are cool but dont allow for posing( not like you can really pose a JM) and at times make me worry that they are not strong enough to keep limbs on. I think the Aflodai looks nice next to the other JMs IMO nicer than the HK vinyl one.

I have seen these before, they have had the Boss Robot in the development stage for a LONG while. They seem pretty cool and I don't think the $300 price tag is so much considering that they are VERY limited....also considering what you pay a LOT more than that for rare JM's.
My ONLY problem is the resin. I'm not sure if it's cheaper than the old polyeth or what....but for me to want a JM...I've gots ta have my shampoo bottle feel. lol

It's more expensive to do the plastic. You need to bake that stuff while the resin cures at room temp. If it's done right, resin is not bad.

I know that they will be hard pressed to make a good profit. Custom, non production work is difficult. I hope the company can expand, lower costs, and offer more. Ed

I hope the company goes out of business because they're doing this without licensing the right to make those Japanese Robots, that's rip-off and I hate that.
Get your own robot design you idiot!

OH BS!!! Do you how much "licensing" means in Asia and Japan? Over all the years that they have reproduced American goods/icons....the least they owe us is a small time company CLEARLY making these for collectors and NOT for profit. And....if you had read the guys ENTIRE site...you would see that he has other stuff coming down the pike that are clearly his own ideas.... lighten up on that sh*t dude.....just be glad somebody is trying to expand the hobby!
