Wow well, we sent the samples directly to our Japanese distributor 'Fewture', and fewture's staff will take the pics first. The reason is that all pre-order in japan for MazingerZ stuff must be done till the end of December 2007 and we had to hurry, apparently all rights regarding MazingerZ will be controlled by ...BANDAI, starting January 2008, so this is our first and last MazingerZ product for Japan hehe, except if we find a deal with one of the local official Bandai distributors. This concern the japanese market only at this moment though... What about the 12 inch articulated Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, and Grendizer figures??? Are those going to be released now that Bandai has the Mazinger Rights??? Please tell me you are still releasing these awesome trio!!! }D

Beautiful! Seriously, wow! Will Hobby Link Japan be carrying this, as they did the Grendizer? Better yet, any of the U.S. retailers? So is Great Mazinger next? HLJ will certainly carry this as they did for our Grendizer. Our Japanese distributor being Fewture/Artstorm. It might be surprising but our next model in this line will certainly be Kotetsu Jeeg.

Thanks to hlpro for the awesome pic, and for keeping us well informed. You are doing great work! I second that. It never happens that we get to chat directly with the company producing the very toys we're scouring the web for more information on...including this website. Just curious, how many employees work at HL Product? You guys are turning out some great stuff! I just checked your website again...Ulysses 31!! I'll be monitoring HLJ for the 59cm Mazinger preorder, but if you happen to know it's up, give us a heads up!

Np hehe, its nice to be in touch with the fans, I don't go to the conventions/shows anymore, just don't have much time for it or I would just spend my time in planes. so giving infos and discussing with you guys on forums like this one is pretty cool. I started to do this few years ago, at action-figures.com for example, to talk about our Capcom vs snk action figure stuff etc... Next time I'll go to a toy show will be for the NY toy fair next year...but its pretty much a show with lots of suit, who cares more about how much money they can make with you than anything else, well they are not all like that thank god... but you certainly know what I mean...
we are 2 heads at HL Pro in Tokyo, we both decide of what to do and how to, and lots of arms and legs, passionate sculptors, designers mainly working at home, visiting our office almost everyday, with a partner owning a factory in China in charge of the manufacture, I'll pass on the number of workers overthere, so in average we are a team of 8 ppl working on a project from A to Z.

Eight very impresive people. After taking a look at your products, I wish you had the same production capacity as someone like Bandai. However, I do understand that Bandai is a HUGE company, if not the biggest around and production for them is no big deal. On the other hand, your company puts in more attention to detail in what you do, ultimately producing a better, more accurate product than Bandai. Keep up the good work! By the way, there are two forum members that should be working for your company: acturus and psychokillah1777 - They are awesome!!!

By the way, there are two forum members that should be working for your company: acturus and psychokillah1777 - They are awesome!!! }D well, you know I believe that we are very close to what we do here, and at least the pressure to make a good product don't come from certain internal economic facts, and I don't want to change that. It is hard to imagine what sort of pressure a producer at Bandai may have when he got to release a product according to an xtra tight schedule, relation with the licensors and the designers/sculptors etc..., those guys do not have any family life or so little, an they are not getting richer in anyway, I'm not talking about the guy in a branch office overseas taking care of the sales only, but the place where the real thing is created. So I'm very happy about what we do here, because of that freedom too, I don't think we have the wish to grow as an ultimate goal and crush everything on the way, to become a leader etc.., If we do grow and lead somewhere someday, it is just because we produce our goods, the way we want to do it, with our brains, let's try to be smart enough. We are making good money here, enough for me to buy a house, pay for my kids education, and save money for when I'll be a very old man. I want to keep it that way for me and also for my partners, and you know... continue to make our toys hehe. after...why should we be like a bandai or a takara/tomy you know..., it will happen what will happen hehehe, we'll see where we will be after 10 years. May I say Amen ; )

Nevermind, I answered my own question. Looks like there's indeed a smaller version already out in Europe.
Bring on the 60cm!

HLJ has the 60cm Mazinger listed as a February release. Looking forward to it! Are there any other 60cm releases in the pipeline? How are the 12" super robots coming along?

Well we were at the NY toy fair, you can see the products we brought with us and on display at our booth; 74.52.193.82/events/main.php?g2_itemId=10488512" action figure MazingerZ and Grendizer, Duke Fleed mask etc... I can announce that our next 24 Inch robot is Kotetsu Jeeg , in fact he is almost done already.

Nope, the ones in you link are the 24" models, not poseable. the 12 Inch are fully articulated (21+PoA) and with accessories, pre-order will start at the end of the month.
