Sorry, everybody, no japanese robots in this thread... ...just some Marvel Legends customs I've been working on. they're all characters from the comic Thor and norse Mythology. First up is my "build-a-figure" of Surtur, the fire demon who will set the world on fire at Ragnarok (the apocalypse). He's about 13 inches from horn to toe. Next is Balder the Brave. This version is based on his classic, Jack Kirby style. His cape's removable and there's a loop on his belt to hold his dagger or sword. And, finally, here's Odin, ruler of the gods and god of kings, war, poetry, and magic (among other things). Even thow he's damn near omnipotent, he's virtually background in the Thor comics. He's not even drawn consistently(outside of an eyepatch and a big hat). He features spear, long knife with belt and sheath (removable), helmet (removable), and eyepatch (removable). ...and a group shot with Thor and variant Loki (both factory made figs; Beta Ray Bill and the Destroyer wouldn't fit). my upcoming projects are a touch up of a Marvel Legends Loki, a marvel legends showdown {microman scale} Loki, Legends Sif the Sheildmaiden, Heimdall, and the warriors three (hogun the Grim is first). comments welcome. Kudos to the first person to identify the base figures. 21 gun salute for identifying the accessories' origins!

Awesome stuff Cap! I'm a huge Thor fan and have been reading his comic since the late 70's (I'm either on this board or the Thor/Battle Board). Infact I had quite a large Thor collection including statues and the Factory-X Mjolnir (hammer) but unfortunately had to sell them all. I would love to see a custom Thor figure since I have yet to see one made that doesn't make him look constipated and no one seems to be able to get the wings on his helmet right.
P.S Have you been reading Civil War? I loved the scene where Hercules bashes in the clone Thor's head with it's own hammer! And I can't wait to read Thor's new series although his new costume is going to take time to get used too.

Nice work Captian! they have a nice factory look. Thor was always one of my favorite characters. I recognize two of the figures. One of the figures looks like a Conan, the sword has the scribbing on the blade. Surter looks like a king kong figure. Odin might be the Hulk, but I'm not shure.

You get two misses and and a close, mechaboy1. Close enough that I'll admit Odin is Maestro (evil future Hulk).
..and thanks for the compliments, guys!

I didn't notice it said marvel legends. The Surter is either a Beast or Hercules figure. The sculpt and paint job is awsome.

Ding! Ding! That's two for you! Surtur is a Marvel Legends Icons(12" scale) Beast, the gray version that I picked up on closeout after xmas. I believe roboloco's collection has an unmauled (though possibly blue) version in his collection.
And I really appreciate the factory look praise!

Whoa, is there a game show goin on? <"ding-ding"! LOL> Yo, Capt- them figs really look Badazzzzzz! Daaaaaaayyyamn! I like the textures on Surtur and Odin, very life-like and true to the look and aesthetics of their comicbooks. Perfect 10! I never really followed up on the Thor series, but I do luv that character, hammer and all. Thor would make a great "Goldion Hammer" mecha version of the GaoGaiGar. zozo-Magengar

Nice customs. I just finished the Thor Disassembled TPB and those figures are pretty much dead on.
