Hey guys!
I was wondering if diecasts like the Tetsujin 28 GB-23 cam with both foam and styrofoam. I have seen it with both and have been told it came both ways. Sounds fishy to me! Personally I like the styrofoam better!

Hello,  To my recollection the dual packaging didn't apply to the GB-23. Most of the foam on the later Popy products came from repackaging (new) of used toys. Then there is always another possibility. My understanding is that some train stations used the more flexible foam to sell Popy 'bots to denizens on the go. That style of packing, though, seemed to disappear in the late 70's. I've never seen the GB-23 (1981) in foam rubber. -Ed |

actually i had both versions before.....
i prefer styro all the way...i wish they did styro for the GA63 T28...as those arms always punctured the sides of the box.

i have lots of photos i can send you. also check out the photos on Josh B's Collection DX page, and the expose Matt Alt and i did on Forrest Gang. one sad note, the Shinjuku Manderake(which i liked the best) closed a month ago...i have to wonder where all the stock went, as i dont see any of it at he Nakano or the Shibuya stores? hmm....guess i have to just stick on going to Forrest gang.... like that is a big hardship  i will keep you posted.
