Hello Peeps! ;D I bought myself a GX-01R and would like to complete the Mazinger mechs. However, I am holding back till I find out if Mazinkaiser is in scale with the SOC Mazingers? I hope to see pics of them all together if anyone would be so kind Thank you!

Mazinkaiser is in scale with the BanDai SOC...but I have to warn you...he will look HUGE (he is a much bigger robot in the anime). Anyways, he is a whoppin' 8 inches tall (about 90% diecast) with a 14" wing span. Details are sharp and crisp...point are pointy and attention to detail is great!
The coolest feature is the firing fists! You actually have to wind them up and when you press the button, they shoot off and spin at the same time...really neet!

I do not think you will be disappointed...it seems a bit expensive at $120+ shipped.....but money is all relative and I think it is money well spent. It is a far better toy than the Yugin Mazinkaiser (which is all pvc and plastic) and people were spending as much as $120++++ for them when they first came out...OUCH!

Do either of you have an opinion on which version is better? I have been leaning towards the first or "origional" and not the O.A.V. or glitter.

I think the best one is the OVA version (Black, dark blue and white) as this is how the robot is seen in the Anime and in the video game. The other versions (in my opinion) are just variations in color, while the OVA version is the true Mazinkaiser.

I collect robots basically to represent what I see in the anime. Variations to me are also cool. But to me, it is essential to first have a version that models how they should really look. If one can still cut it, by all means go for the variations, it spices things up. Especially if that particular mech is a favorite Just my two cents! ;D

I wanted to ask a follow up question on comparing the Yujin version over the Aoshima. Thank you very much for the heads up! Very much appreciated. ;D

Hey, no problem. Mazinkaiser is very neet....nice design, great proportions....and a fine folllow up to the Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger. Please remember...that the Aoshima (Miracle House) and Yujin comparison is strickly my opinion. If anyone disagrees with me...that's fine too...thats why everyones collection is cool in it's different kind of way.

it's a great toy, but from my experience you cant get a large range of motion for poses with it.
It is freakin heavy though.
