Hey guys!
My first topic on this board.
I am contemplating on getting the SOC GX-04S, or better known as the Grendaizer Big Box.
I know SOC quality is superb, however, I would like to ask how tall is it compared to the GX-01R Mazinger, and if anyone who already has it can post pics of it, preferably in action. Any other info like gimmicks on the toy would also help me decide since it's worth a whopping P10,000 my currency.

My Understanding is that the Grendizer is exactly the same as the original GX-04...that is why BanDai is selling the Spacer set separately as well. I did pick up the spacer set and that is quite nice.

Hi Omni and Welcome! ;D On the first Grandizer the big gimmics were the axes, plastic  spacer, plastic TFO, and typical SOC posability. The prices on it are high, in fact right on the edge of too much. I don't have the new soc Mazinger -R version but it should be almost the same size or within about 2 cm. Have you considered the Combattler soc yet? for about the same price it offers transformations and (to me) a better value. But you won't go wrong with the Grandizer too....it will always have a big following that would want it if you need to sell it later.  -Ed |

You can bet I've also thought of getting the Combattler V SOC, but Grendaizer is my Holy of Holy's. I want to get it first, then come back for the Combattler later on.

Thanks again! recently, SOC Combattler is starting to increase in price because its the only older SOC that has yet to be reissued  the Gx-04S is relatively new so its easier to acquire, but prices has gone up dramatically over the past months when it first came out, my cost price at my shop for the GX-04S was just 8000+ now its 9900+ especially because of the crappy exchange rate! |

 Cool! I am mindset on getting the GX-04S for my birthday in June! Grendizer was always my Holy Of Holy's when it comes to giant robots! Any chance of the price going down if the exchange rates favor the poor ol' Philippine peso?
