... .I've been on a tangent lately. Can we list any differences between the Japanese DX Popy "Godaikins" and American Godaikins? To begin with I know the Voltes V has a pen and catalog in the Japanese box. The arm joints in the 1st version are yellow. All Godaikins have red arm joings. But what else?? ...can anyone list out differences, say, with the Daltanious or GoLion? Thanks for the help! I love hearing obscure details. ;D -Ed

I didn't know GoDaiKin was released in Japan? Or did you mean the various Popy toys that were assimilated into the American GoDaiKin line? GoDaiKin is a combination of Popy's later Chogokin and Popinika toys, as well as a few others. I've never seen any of the originals, so I can't really compare.

Indeed Godaikin is actually an American name that never was used in Japan. I was trying to understand the difference between, say, Tetsujin 28 in the Japanese box and Tetsujin 28 in the US box.
Voltes V had definite differences, but for the others, the changes are very very subtile.

I definately like the Japanese version of the Laserion. It has removable armor and that feature didn't make it to the US.
For that toy there is no comparison, I like the armor.

Actually, that was the "power up" version that included the armor, I have it as well and I think it is totally killer . The DX Chogokin released by Bandai was identical to the Godaikin, with the exeption of the packaging, insructions, and catalog of course.
