It's an awesome, affordable substitute for the real thing. It is a re-sculpt, being a little taller with different colors thatn the original.
The only complaint I have is that the red "wings" tend to fall off on mine.
for $31, grab it.
Josh

I agree with Josh that the current prices are a steal! This toy deserves more respect and is an awesome value.
Raideen is considered on the the first, if not THE first, Transformer.

Actually, there were transforming tin robots as far back as the 1950s, but Raideen was the first transforming robot in the Popy Era. Sorry. Just been thinking about my Robot History a lot lately

One of the little nubs on the red wing is smaller than the others, and thus does not fit fully into the little hole. It came like that brand new. Did anybody else have this problem too?

Oh that certainly is an issue. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix the falling red wings? That will certainly influence my decision at getting it or not. Thank you people you are all very helpful!

Do you have an original Raydeen? If not, I'd use that cash to get a loose, complete original.

I just picked up the Raydeen Re-Issue yesterday for $29.00. The red wings haven't fallen off on mine, but they don't appear to be too stable. Super nice face sculpt on this guy; nicer detailing than on the original. The color scheme is a bit different on the re-issue and the extra height gives Raydeen a deservingly ominous look. In my opinion, the only things that the original has over the re-issue are the eyes in Godbird formation and the fact that it is the original. Mechapunk, for $31 get it, but definately go after an original too. No household should be without Raydeen The Brave. www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Flats/8326/brave_raideen_opening.rm

mine fell on the side and the head covering cracked. the red wings of mine hasn't fallen off after 3 years of toying around! you can always repaint the wings into white pink lavender or peach ;D I just picked up the Raydeen Re-Issue yesterday for $29.00.
