I've been reading a lot of posts regarding which new SOC issues are coming out and which of the older ones we'd like to see re-done. I agree it would be great to see new issues of the classics. But here's one that seems to be flying under the radar so to speak. The Evangelions. Unit One is overdue by a month, and HLJ and BBTS are taking pre-orders on three more EVA's. Unless I am wrong,I believe these will be the first of the SOC's that are not based on older toys. There is a huge crossover market of Neon Genesis fans. Not only will the EVA's be awesome shelf pieces, they will probably- how should I put this- appreciate in monetary value rather quickly. Just a guess. JWM

so far the official word is Getta Robo G to the next release. As long as there is no confirmed word or product sketches released, don't assume Bandai is going to revive any other super robots. There has been some rumors out there.. but rumors are still rumors I've been reading a lot of posts regarding which new SOC issues are coming out and which of the older ones we'd like to see re-done. It's not hard for me to imagine the EVA's being a bit top-heavy because of how thin their legs are, which should make them difficult to pose. I hope they're decently balanced.

I'm pretty excited to see EVA's in person. I have grown to like their designs and missed out when the PVC figures came out. Now that they are coming in dicast I'll want to pick one up. Does anyone know if there will be gimmics like shooting parts, guns, and the like......I know I saw at least one gun. - E

are they releasing all the eva's at the same time? when is the official release date? It has been moved back to July, but not sure if they are going to release all in one time, probably one version at a time. I can't wait for it too.

I've had Unit One on pre-order from a shop in NYC (my brother got it for me). It was ordered back in April. Last word I got was that it should be out by the end of this month. I couldn't find it on HLJ at all. I'm not too worried about pose ability. The folks at Bandai usually do their homework pretty well.Unit two is due for July, and the other two probably won't be out until the end of August. As soon as I get off the BBS I'm going to watch the second disc of the series. This is my third, or fourth time watching it through. Amazingly, it seems to get better with each viewing. That's a quality that's usually reserved for serious music. A strange tale indeed. JWM

Seems the SOC Eva 01 is out, I've seen some on ebay who actually have shots of the box and the contents.
Guess they made it through still on their June release. ;D

Nice!
Seems to be taller than the Mazinger SOC's.
I'm going to wait for Asuka's Eva, and Rei's blue Eva-00.

The EVA looks great! very well accessorized too! too bad, I am not that much of a fan I wish they did the same articulation for the Mazinger ladies.

The articulation on those babies are amazing.
I just hope that they can hold the poses that the articulation can provide them.
...waiting for Rei's EVA-00 (blue) and Asuka's EVA-02

The EVA's are coming! I just got my tracking number. UPS shipping weight three pounds. Three pounds? I know there's some cardboard and styrofoam, but three pounds? Now the anticipation is huge. (actually, this part is as much fun than the toy itself) JWM
