No problemo. I have an extra Battle-Jet unit for the Combatra. It's just the head module-I don't have the plastic wing piece that completes the jet, and one antenna is missing the tip. Other than that, it's in excellent shape. If this would help complete someone's set, let me know. JWM

Hmmm, anybody else noticed this:
For Voltes V: if not for the Volt 5 Lander's cockpit, being folded up like that (the white part on the feet), these 2 would have been the same height don't you think?
Just a thought ;D

Just a thought ;D You are quite right! My understanding was the Voltes V represented an improved design with better proportions. Then we have a much better system of moving the tank tracks to the back. Welcome to the BBS Watari! -Ed

You'll notice on the Combattra the feet unit has those big yellow whatchamacallits above the cab. Those slide off to make the combination with the leg unit. On the Voltes the corresponding white gizmos are hinged, and they fold down to join with the legs. The Voltes is an all around more sophisticated design, and better engineered than the Combattra. JWM

well for one thing, Voltes V Dx toy produced in 1977 has porportions which were very close to the anime. While in Combattler DX produced in 1975, were ackward and deformed and didn't look much like the robot in the anime. Popy technological leaps and bonds in 3 years? I've had these toys around for ever, but I have never seen any of the shows that inspired them. Are any of the old super robot shows available on DVD anywhere? (at least with sub-titles) JWM

(at least with sub-titles) JWM All the shows seem to appear on bootleg videos from the Phillipeenes. (did I spell that right? ). Anyways, I haven't seen too many of the shows in English but there are out there with fan translations. Keep checking e-bay or fans like H-man (our BBS). -E

;D That would be Philippines, but you can write it off as PI Anywhoo, you are right. Most of the bootleg video's, usually VCD's, are from PI. Combattler and Voltes V, along with Daimos became a very big hit in the early 70's and 80's here in PI. It got second wind in the year 2001 and 2003 when the last episodes (for Voltes V) were shown in movie (finally after nearly 20 years of wating) theatres, and re-aired in a local network, for the nth time. Tadao Nagahama's bots (Voltes V, Combattler V, and Daimos), though not as popular as Nagai's bots, were pretty big in some Europoean countries too, but I think it was biggest in the Philippines ;D

Grendizer was popular in France and some Euro countries. Voltes V, Mazinger, God Sigma, Daikengo, Mekanda etc was popular in Italy. Combattler, Mazinger, Getta, Gatchaman etc were popular in Hong Kong. Dangard, Mekanda, Voltes (not combattler), Daimos, Grendizer, Mazinger, Balatak were popular in the Philippines. ;D That would be Philippines, but you can write it off as PI Anywhoo, you are right.
